Nex Incorrectly Hero Folds a Flopped Straight

Level 27 : Blinds 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante
Vladimir Nex
Vladimir Nex

Sebastian Schulze made it 160,000 to go with K3 from the cutoff and Vladimir Nex called in the big blind with 76.

On the 584 board, Nex checked with his flopped straight and Schulze bet 290,000. Nex just called.

A J on the turn improved Schulze to a flush draw, and once it was checked to him, he fired out 720,000. Nex, again just called.

There was no flush for Schulze on the J river, and once it checked to him, he had to decide if he wanted to bluff or not. He took around two minutes before he put together a bet of 3,150,000 and pushed it into the pot.

Nex had 3,500,000 behind and seemed to be giving Schulze a lot of credit for a full house as he debated the decision. The clock was called on Nex as he had taken a lot of time to think it over, and the 30-second countdown was initiated.

With just a few seconds left on the clock, Nex slid his cards into the muck, and Schulze managed to get one through.

"Medic!"; Moore Falls to Wysotchanski

Level 26 : Blinds 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante
Charles Moore
Charles Moore

Wagner Wysotchanski raised to 180,000 in early position before Charles Moore moved all in from the small blind. The dealer counted out 650,000. "Really, that much?" Moore joked.

"I'm definitely ahead," Moore told Wysotchanski, who took a minute before calling.

Charles Moore: 99 All in
Wagner Wysotchanski: A10

"Nines against ace-ten," Moore yelled out to his rail as the flop came K4J to give Wysotchanski outs to a straight in addition to his overcards. The Q turn improved him to the nut straight, and Moore was already drawing dead by the 3 river.

"Medic! Medic!" Moore yelled out in jest with his hands wrapped around his neck before heading off to collect his payout.

Jung Flips Holtzman to the Rail

Level 27 : Blinds 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

Guy Holtzman pushed all in for 1,150,000 in middle position and Chahn Jung woke up with a pair in the big blind to put Holtzman at risk.

Guy Holtzman: AQAll in
Chahn Jung: 1010

The flop came 853 and Jung stayed out front with his pair of tens. The 2 on the turn changed nothing and the 9 on the river was not going to help Holtzman survive.

Merson Catches Skhulukhiya on a Move

Level 26 : Blinds 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante
Greg Merson
Greg Merson

Giorgiy Skhulukhiya defended out of the small blind against Greg Merson and both then invested 85,000 on the 977 flop. Skhulukhiya bet the 2 turn for 175,000 for Merson to call and the A river slowed down Skhulukhiya as he opted to check.

Merson made it 325,000 to go and Skhulukhiya check-raised for nearly his entire stack after brief consideration for what appears to be 1,850,000. Merson only needed a few seconds before he called and was shown the 92 by Skhulukhiya, which he had beat with the AK to drag in a very healthy pot.

Trost Executes a Huge Bluff

Level 26 : Blinds 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante
Craig Trost
Craig Trost

Sam Darkin raised with Q9 to 160,000 from the hijack. Craig Trost called on the button with 87, and Nazar Buhaiov defended his big blind with 75.

Buhaiov checked first when the 4510 flop was exposed, and Darkin bet 250,000. Trost and Buhaiov called.

Buhaiov now took the betting lead on the 5 turn as he led out for 575,000. Darkin folded, but Trost raised to 1,200,000. Buhaiov deliberated for quite some time before sliding in the call.

With 1,400,000 remaining in his stack, Buhaiov checked for the last time upon seeing the 3 roll off on the river. Trost shoved to but Buhaiov all in, causing Buhaiov to lean back in his chair and look to the heavens, visibly distraught by the situation he was in.

Around three minutes passed before Buhaiov reluctantly threw his cards into the muck. Trost started joyfully clapping as he slid his cards face down to the dealer, and the pot was pushed to him.

'A Hero Lies in You'

Level 27 : Blinds 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

Chahn Jung opened to 160,000 in early position with 88 and Joshua Beckenstein flat-called on his left with 44. Muhamet Perati tagged along in the big blind with 64 and the dealer fanned the flop of Q53.

The action checked around to the A on the turn and Jung finally flicked in a bet of 300,000 in the midst of 'Hero' by Rhianna being belted out by a railbird. Beckenstein folded but Perati check-raised to 820,000 with a straight draw. Jung was forced to fold his pair and the best hand and Perati raked in the pot.
