Chornyy Check-Jams into Two Players

Goh Yanagida raised from the hijack. Nicolas Enjamio and Bogdan Chornyy called from the blinds.

The action checked to Yanagida on the KJ4 flop. He continued for 410,000 and Enjamio called. Chornyy moved all in 1,465,000, sending Yanagida deep into the tank. After several minutes he folded and then Enjamio open-folded KxQx to award the pot to Chornyy.

Alper Finds a Queen to Double Off Petro

Steven Alper moved all in for 1,350,000 in the hijack and John Petro put him at risk in the big blind.

Alper found himself dominated as the A43 flop gave both players top pair, but he hit the Q on the turn to make two pair. The river was the 2 and Alper doubled up.

Will Kassouf raised to 170,000 in middle position with QJ and Kohei Arai three-bet to 440,000 on the button. Amadeus Janotta four-bet jammed all in for 1,175,000 from the small blind which got Kassouf to fold and Arai quickly called.

The flop came QJ3 and Janotta picked up a pair of jacks but it was still Arai well out front. The 10 on the turn provided some chop outs but the 10 on the river paired the wrong card for Janotta who was eliminated.

Trost Takes from Bosman

Hans Bosman made it 160,000 from middle position and only Craig Trost called from the button.

Bosman placed out a continuation-bet of 100,000 on the A89 flop. Trost didn't take long to make the call.

The 10 hit the turn, and Bosman quickly fired 200,000 into the middle. Trost raised to 750,000, and Bosman immediately called.

After Bosman checked the 10 river, Trost thought for a while before deciding to check behind. Bosman showed A9 for two pair, but lost the pot to Trost's straight with 76.

Freitas Spikes the Nuts Against Tamano

Tomohiro Tamano raised to 160,000 in early position before Richard Freitas three-bet to 475,000 in the cutoff. Tamano called and they went heads-up to the Q103 flop.

Freitas then continued for 325,000 and Tamano came back with a raise to 700,000. Freitas called.

Tamano bet another 600,000 on the K turn and Freitas tanked for several minutes before emerging with an all-in shove for 1,925,000. Tamano snap-called.

Freitas turned over AJ for the nut straight. "Wow," Tamano said as he revealed 1010 for a set. Tamano needed the board to pair on the river, but he missed the A and Freitas doubled up.

Buckingham Looks Up Jung

On the river of a Q108K3 board, Richard Buckingham bet 250,000 from the big blind. Chahn Jung then opted for a raise to 925,000 in the under-the-gun position and that sent Buckingham into the tank. He eventually called and Jung showed his AK, which Buckingham had beat with the QJ.

"You either have ace-king with spade or not," Buckingham concluded while raking in the pot and added "that was a very good raise":

Nazar Buhaiov raised to 160,000 under the gun and Daniele Primerano jammed for 705,000 from the button. Buhaiov got an exact count from the dealer before making the call.

Primerano was one of the shortest stacks remaining in the Main Event and needed to win this flip to keep his dreams of becoming a world champion alive.

The board ran out 9646Q to give Buhaiov a boat on the turn, and meant Primerano was the next casualty on Day 6.

Rastogi Four-Bets Prokopchuk
