Joey Padron and Maxim Babko went to the turn on a board of 4♣7♣2♦9♦ when Padron bet 2,000,000 from the button. Babko called in the hijack.
The river was the 9♠ and Padron bet another 2,000,000. Babko then moved all in, and Padron quickly called for 5,450,000.
Babko showed A♦A♥, but Padron had A♣9♣ for rivered trips as a devastated Babko buried his face on the rail while the massive pot was pushed over to Padron.
Michael Mizrachi in the big blind and Richard Buckingham from an early position tangled in a preflop all-in with nearly identical stack sizes and Mizrachi vaulted out of his chair while motioning to his nearby rail.
Richard Buckingham: 4♦4♣
Michael Mizrachi: Q♦Q♣
The suits were covered and Buckingham found no escape on the 9♥7♦3♠10♥J♦ runout. Both stacks were counted and the 5.5 million of Buckingham were covered by only a few blinds.
Soon after, Dillon Ott pushed all in for around 3,100,000 and Mizrachi called in the next seat.
Dillon Ott: A♦K♦
Michael Mizrachi: Q♦Q♥
The pocket pair held and made a flush on the 7♥6♥2♣4♥9♥ board to score the next knockout.
In the meanwhile, Kohei Arai raised to 300,000 and Leon Sturm three-bet to 750,000. Yong Han cold four-bet to 1,600,000 in the big blind for Arai to reluctantly fold. Sturm five-bet jammed and Han folded.
Nick Pupillo opened to 350,000 in early position and Joshua Beckenstein called on the button.
Pupillo continued for 450,000 on the flop of K♠8♥2♥ and Beckenstien called. Pupillo then sized up to 900,000 on the A♦ turn and Beckenstein laid it down.
Derek Sudell opened to 300,00 from middle position with A♠J♦ and Ihab Ali called from the hijack with 8♥8♣. Mikhail Prokopchuk then three-bet A♥K♣ from the big blind to 1,400,,000, which got Sudell to fold. Ali also let his hand go, and Prokopchuk took it down.
Shortly after. Sergio Veloso limped in from the small blind with Q♠8♦ and Kenny Hallaert checked his option in the big blind with 9♦2♠.
Velose tapped the table on the J♠8♠4♠ flop and then called a bet of 150,000 from Hallaert. A 6♥ on the turn saw both players check to the 4♦ river, where Veloso bet 350,000 with his eight. Hallaert snap-folded.
Hieu Le jammed his final 825,000 into the middle from middle position and Chad Power called from the cutoff to try and bust him.
Hieu Le: K♠8♠
Chad Power: A♠Q♣
Lee was behind versus Power's ace-queen, and moved even further behind on the A♦Q♦8♦ flop as Power improved to two pair. Le couldn't find one of the two remaining eights in the deck on the 3♥ turn or J♦ river. Le silently made his way to the payout desk, while Power moved up to almost twenty million chips.
Stefan Nemetz raised to 300,000 in the cutoff and Matija Kajtez moved all in for 2,800,000 on the button. Mounir Tajiou folded in the small blind, later saying he had two tens, while Nemetz called.
Matija Kajtez: A♦Q♣
Stefan Nemetz: K♥K♠
"Yes! That's why I'm me and you're you," Tajiou yelled out as he ran towards the rail. The flop, though, came 10♠4♥4♠ and would've given him a full house.
"I don't give a f**k. I made my decision before that," he said. The rest of the board came 5♠Q♥ and Nemetz's kings stayed in the lead to send Kajtez to the rail.
Will Kassouf made his way back to the feature table after his outer table broke, and wasted little time jumping straight into the action. Sebastian Schulze raised to 300,000 in middle position with A♣4♣ and was called by Kassouf on his left with 6♠6♦. Johan Schumacher also tagged along from the big blind with K♦Q♥.
The flop fell J♣7♣7♦ and the action checked to Kassouf who bet 400,000. Schumacher folded but Schulze check-raised 1,300,000. Kassouf started his speech play again now that he had ample time to work with. More than two minutes passed by before he finally released his cards into the muck.
Sam Darkin raised to 300,000 in the hijack before Charles Lee reraised to 1,200,000 in the cutoff, leaving one 25,000 chip behind. Darkin called and tossed in the chip on the A♥5♥J♦ flop.
"I'm going to take three minutes," Lee said as the field was within two spots of a pay jump. The other players at the table agreed to let him take his time, and even began scouting out nearby tables to find anyone at imminent risk of elimination.
"Red shirt is all-in," a tablemate said as Kosaku Akashi was all-in for 2,100,000 against Nadav Barash. Akashi had A♥Q♣ and was up against A♠10♥ as the board ran out Q♥2♠4♣4♠6♥ to give him two pair and the double up.
"I'll give you until the clock reaches 100," Darkin told Lee as the minutes continued to tick by. Darkin called the clock right on 100, and Lee eventually tossed in his last chip.
Charles Lee: A♦K♥
Sam Darkin: A♥5♠
Darkin had flopped two pair to take the lead, but Lee spiked the K♦ on the turn to move in front. The river was the 2♠ and Lee doubled up.
Leon Sturm raised to 240,000 from under the gun with K♥8♥ and Albert Calderon just called in the hijack with Q♠Q♦. They went heads-up to a flop of K♦4♦2♥ and both players checked to the 8♣ on the turn.
Both players checked again and the A♣ landed on the river. Sturm finally led out with a bet of 600,000 and Calderon denounced how poorly he played his hand before sending his pocket queens into the muck.
