Wilson Delivers Brutal Bust to Nash

Level 15 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
Brock Wilson
Brock Wilson

Hugues Girard opened to 13,000 from under the gun and Brock Wilson flatted on the button. In the small blind, Jarrett Nash squeezed to 35,000. Girard called as Wilson now weighed his options. He was well covered by Girard, but was covering the stack of Nash by 100,000.

Wilson opted to back-raise all in as Nash instantly called off his roughly 250,000 stack, and Girard folded quickly.

Jarrett Nash: KK All in
Brock Wilson: QQ

Wilson ran into the dominating pair of Nash as the 755 flop offered no help to either.

The 8 turn left Wilson with just two outs as the Q landed on the river, earning a round of gasps from the table as Nash took his leave from the tournament in brutal fashion.

Final Break

Level 14 : Blinds 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante
Mike Matusow
Mike Matusow

The penultimate level has come to an end on Day 3, which means the 1,525 remaining players are now going on their final 20-minute break of the day.

When they return at roughly 9:11 p.m., the blinds will be 3,000/6,000 with a big blind ante of 6,000. Here are some of the highlights from the previous two hours of poker:

Bye Bye Benny

Level 14 : Blinds 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante
Benny Glaser
Benny Glaser

The information on this hand was relayed by a PokerNews videographer, Josh Billingham.

Benny Glaser was all-in and at risk for 212,000 from the cutoff after he had opened and then four-bet shoved in a clash with Michael McNicholas on the button.

Benny Glaser: AKAll in
Michael McNicholas: AA

Glaser was in trouble against the pocket rockets of McNicholas.

The flop gave Glaser a sliver of hope when it came down JQ3 to give Glaser a draw to Broadway.

The turn was the Q which didn't help Glaser and no miracle came on the 9 river for him to bust on Day 3 of the Main Event.

Bluff Knows No Bounds

Level 14 : Blinds 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

Orlando Haas opened from the hijack before Peng Shan three-bet to 37,000 from the big blind.

Haas called and sent them to a flop of 37J. Shan continued for 30,000, and Haas stuck around with a call.

Shan fired a second barrel on the 2 turn to the tune of 120,000. Haas eyed his opponent as he gave the hand some consideration before he opted to make the call.

The K river set the stage for Shan's third barrel as he put together a sizing of 270,000. Haas collected his chips for a call, then dropped them in the middle to look up Shan.

Shan showed K8 for a rivered pair of kings, but it was no good as Haas showed 33 for bottom set.

Dealer Needle

Level 14 : Blinds 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

Thanh Nguyen and Allison Stoloff got all of their chips in preflop from under the gun and middle position respectively, with the latter at risk for her 91,000.

Allison Stoloff: AK All in
Thanh Nguyen: KK

Stoloff had just one over, and couldn't find it on the 47889 runout. "Thanks for playing!" quipped the dealer as she was walking away, which received a few laughs from the table.

Honghao Shi, also at the table, noted that shouting "payout," would've been slightly funnier.

Lacoste Turns Campbell to Rail; Ensan on Rampage

Level 14 : Blinds 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante
Hossein Ensan
Hossein Ensan

John Campbell bet 25,000 from under the gun on the 48J5 turn. Mark Lacoste flicked in a minimum raise to 50,000 on the button, and Campbell responded by moving all in for about 125,000. Lacoste snap-called.

John Campbell: KK All in
Mark Lacoste: 76

Lacoste had turned a straight to leave Campbell's cowboys drawing dead, and the inconsequential 9 river elongated Lacoste's straight to solidify the knockout.

Over at another table, 2019 Main Event Champion Hossein Ensan had eliminated no fewer than three players in the span of minutes, seeing his stack grow to over 250 big blinds.

King K.O's Killeen

Level 14 : Blinds 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante
Kevin Killeen
Kevin Killeen

Chao Wu raised to 10,000 under the gun, which Emmett King called a couple of seats to his left before Kevin Killeen came along in the big blind.

The action checked to King on a 427 flop, who bet 20,000. Killeen responded with a check-raise, moving all in for around 60,000. Wu folded, but King called.

Kevin Killeen: Q7 All in
Emmett King: JJ

The K turn and 8 river offered no relief for Killeen, who was the latest casualty of the Main Event.

Zhang Raises to Take It; Fenster Blinding Out

Level 14 : Blinds 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante
Jeff Fenster
Jeff Fenster

Arin Youssefian bet 12,000 on the 452 flop from middle position. Congya Zhang then raised to 27,000, and Youssefian called after much debate.

Zhang tossed in another 35,000 on the 5 turn. This time, Youseffian check-folded to concede the pot.

Over at another table, Jeff Fenster's seat was left empty. The other players at the table informed PokerNews he had not been present for a while, and it seems unlikely he will make the money with just six big blinds to his name.

Eights No Bueno for Buonocore

Level 14 : Blinds 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

After facing a reraise to 35,000, Brian Carraher squeezed to 110,000 preflop and then quickly called all in for 418,000 when Andrea Buonocore pushed all in with the covering stack.

Brian Carraher: KK All in
Andrea Buonocore: 88

The superior pair held up on the 1042QJ board and Carraher doubled to a big stack.

Scott Seiver was moved to the table when the hand concluded and busted with a shorter stack shortly thereafter.

Matus-Out

Level 14 : Blinds 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante
Mike Matusow
Mike Matusow

The details of this hand were recounted to PokerNews by players at the table.

Jacob Gagnon opened from early position before Mike Matusow chose to three-bet. Gagnon countered with an all-in, and Matusow called to put himself at risk for 105,000.

Mike Matusow: QxQxAll in
Jacob Gagnon: KxKx

Matusow had the misfortune of running pocket queens into the kings of Gagnon.

The flop brought no help for Matusow as it came Ax8x6x to keep Gagnon well ahead.

The Ax turn was of no consequence, and the Kx river improved Gagnon to a full house to eliminate Matusow from the Main Event.
