Level 14 : Blinds 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante
Hossein Ensan
Hossein Ensan

In a pot of 50,000, Hossein Ensan check-raised a previous bet to 100,000 from the big blind on the 2JQ flop. Yuchen Chen called in the hijack, after which the 8 turn was dealt.

Ensan quickly moved all in, putting Chen at risk for 155,000. Chen spent a few minutes in the tank before he folded, surrendering the pot to Ensan.

Level 14 : Blinds 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante
Justin Arnwine
Justin Arnwine

Justin Arnwine raised to 10,000 in middle position, which Benjamin Lizares called in the small blind before Mark Lacoste three-bet to 35,000 in the big blind. Arnwine called the raise, but Lizares folded.

Lacoste continued for another 35,000 on a J68 flop, which Arnwine called before the 9 turn checked through.

The 2 completed the board, and Lacoste fired a bet of 125,000 into the middle. Arnwine called and left the table suitably impressed after Lacoste tabled AA, and Arnwine revealed he could have lost much more with his KK.

Level 13 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
Will Kassouf
Will Kassouf

The field has been whittled down to just 1,834 after two levels of play on Day 3 of the Main Event. Everyone has been sent on a 60-minute dinner break and will return to blinds of 3,000/5,000 with a big blind ante of 5,000.

The cards are expected to be back in the air at around 6:51 p.m. local time. Here are some highlights from the previous level.

Chipleader Zamani Remains Active

Level 13 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
Martin Zamani
Martin Zamani

Martin Zamani raised to 10,000 in the cutoff. Steven Markowitz called on the button, and Benjamin Amaral defended his big blind.

Amaral then checked it to Zamani on the 799 flop, who bet 18,000. Markowitz folded, but Amaral had other plans and raised to 60,000.

It was not enough for Zamani. He clicked it back to 108,000, winning him the pot as Amaral mucked his hand.

On the next deal, Joseph Furmanek raised to 12,000 in early position. Zamani three-bet to 34,000 as next to act, prompting Amaral to make it 120,000 to go in the small blind.

Furmanek and Zamani folded in quick succession, granting the pot to Amaral without showdown.

Level 13 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
Phillip Mighall
Phillip Mighall

Jose Zurita made it 8,000 to play from the hijack only for David Elyashar to three-bet to 22,000 from the cutoff. Action came around to Phillip Mighall in the big blind who put in a four-bet to 50,000.

Zurita went into the tank for a good while before he released his hand and it was then Elyashar's turn to go into the tank which he did before he five-bet all in for not much more, Mighall snap-called.

David Elyashar: AQ All in
Phillip Mighall: AK

No help for Elyashar on the 108454 run out and he was sent to the rail whilst Mighall edges closer to the million chip mark.

Lin Leaves Baumstein Puzzled

Level 13 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
Ren Lin
Ren Lin

With around 50,000 already in the pot, Scott Baumstein checked to Ren Lin on an A56 flop. Baumstein was in early position, with Lin seated immediately to his left. Lin bet 15,000, and Baumstein called.

Both players checked on the 10 turn, prompting Baumstein to lead out for 11,000 on the 4 river.

"I know what you have", Lin told Baumstein before making the call.

Baumstein tabled AJ, which surprised Lin, as that seemingly was not what he thought Baumstein had.

After a moment had passed, Lin tabled the same hand, AJ.

"That's really tilting", Baumstein mused.

"If I jam, you call?" Lin responded, much to the amusement of others at the table.

"I don't even know if you're being serious", Baumstein told Lin, by which point, the dealer had apportioned the pot, and play was moving on.

Will Kassouf's Run Continue? No, It Won't.

Level 13 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
Will Kassouf

Jonathan Stoeber opened the action to 9,000 under the gun. Two doors down, Kevin Killeen called the bet, and action folded to Will Kassouf in the big blind. He pulled out the classic "if you got it you got it," and moved all in for 32,000. Stoeber then got away with a four-bet to 53,000, and Killeen came along for a call.

The 810A flop was dealt, and both players contesting the side pot checked, as cameras began to swarm the table. The turn 10 had Stoeber rechecking his cards, before placing 12,000 in the middle. Killeen called, bringing in the 9 river.

Stoeber went small again, with 16,000 his sizing. Killeen then went into a three-minute tank before finally announcing, "all in." Stoeber snap-folded.

Will Kassouf: 66All in
Kevin Killeen: KQ

Killeen showed the nut flush, with Kassouf's small pocket pair well behind it. He wished the table luck, photographed the board, and headed off.

Samad Flops Quads to Crack Poullikkas's Aces

Level 13 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
Abdul Samad
Abdul Samad

Abdul Samad opened to no less than 20,000 second-to-act before Antonios Poullikkas jammed for 104,000 from the hijack. It folded back to Samad who went into a small tank.

"Please don't show me kings," Samad pleaded as he put in the call, only slightly covering his opponent.

Antonios Poullikkas: AxAx All in
Abdul Samad: QQ

Samad was in fact not shown kings, but Poullikkas did one better with two aces.

However, Poullikkas's lead was short-lived as the QQ6 flop gave Samad quad queens.

It was all over on the 9 turn to the 7 river as Samad made sure that the entire Paris Yellow section knew about it. After shouting indecipherable phrases for about 15 seconds, Samad sat down and stacked his chips with a smile, while a crushed Poullikkas left his seat.

Hellmuth's Main Event Run Comes to an End

Level 13 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
Phil Hellmuth
Phil Hellmuth

It folded to Phil Hellmuth in the small blind who limped. Chi Chen raised to 10,000 in the big blind, and Hellmuth called.

On the A52 flop, Hellmuth checked to Chen who bet 8,000. Hellmuth then announced all in for his remaining 67,000, and Chen immediately called.

Phil Hellmuth: 97 All in
Chi Chen: A10

Hellmuth held a spade flush draw against the top pair of Chen. The camera crews hovered over the table as the 3 turn offered no additional outs for Hellmuth, except for a four to chop.

However, the river was the 8, and the 17-time bracelet winner was eliminated from the Main Event. He wished his opponents farewell and exited the tournament area in silence as his quest for number 18 will have to wait another day.
