Foxen's Set Sends Peraudo Packing

Level 17 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Alex Foxen
Alex Foxen

Daniel Peraudo raised to 20,000 first to act and was called by Alex Foxen in the cutoff, Christopher Savage in the small blind, and Matthew O'Donnell in the big blind for a four-way pot.

Action folded to Foxen, who bet 80,000 on the 3106 flop. Savage and O'Donnell folded, but Peraudo called.

Peraudo moved all in for his last couple hundred thousand on the A turn and Foxen snap-called to put him at risk.

Daniel Peraudo: 88All in
Alex Foxen: 33

Foxen had Peraudo crushed with a set of threes, and the K river changed nothing to score Foxen the knockout.

Chris Dowling
Chris Dowling

Nearly 400,000 was in the middle as Tal Herzog and Chris Dowling went to a flop of J64. Dowling then bet 70,000 from the small blind, and Herzog called in the big blind.

The turn was the 10 and Dowling, who only had around 20,000 behind, moved all in. Herzog called, and Dowling turned over QQ. Herzog, though, had flopped top set with JJ.

The river was the 8 and Herzog took down the big pot to send Dowling to the rail.

Sterling Sends Romm to the Rail after Brutal River

Level 17 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Scott Sterling
Scott Sterling

Roman Romm opened to 20,000 in early position and only Scott Sterling called in the small blind.

The Q72 flop checked through to the J turn which saw Sterling lead for 35,000. Romm responded by moving all in for his final 121,000. Sterling confirmed the count before a small tank, but he ultimately called to put Sterling at risk.

Roman Romm: KK All in
Scott Sterling: Q10

Romm was in good shape with his overpair and spade against the top pair of Sterling. However, Romm still needed to fade four outs, which he could not do on the Q river, giving Sterling trip queens to crack Romm's kings and send him to the rail in brutal fashion.

Brewer Busts the Main Event

Level 17 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Chris Brewer
Chris Brewer

Picking up the action on a K959 turn, Chris Brewer checked from under the gun to Sam Snead in the hijack. Sweilem bet 80,000, which Brewer check-called.

Sweilem sized up to 225,000 on the 5 river. Brewer went deep into the tank, but ultimately check-called for the majority of his stack.

Sweilem showed 96 for a full house, and Brewer flung his cards into the muck in frustration.'

On the next deal, it folded to Son Nguyen in the small blind. He open-jammed, and Brewer quickly called off his remaining 75,000.

Chris Brewer: K7 All in
Son Nguyen: K3

Brewer had the dominating hand, but he would head to the exit anyway as the 53962 runout paired up Nguyen's trey.

Livingston Busts to Olivieri's Set

Level 17 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Alex Livingston
Alex Livingston

Felipe Olivieri raised from under the gun to 20,000, and Vinicius Lima called from the next seat. Matthew Gross squeezed to 80,000 from middle position, and Alex Livingston called his stack of 68,000 from the cutoff. Olivieri came along with a call, while Lima folded.

With Livingston all-in, Olivieri checked on the 49J flop, and Gross fired a continuation-bet of 135,000. Olivieri check-jammed for about 500,000, and Gross took some time before folding.

Alex Livingston: 1010 All in
Felipe Olivieri: JJ

Gross had made the right fold as Olivieri had top set, and now Livingston needed running cards to survive.

Livingston picked up a straight draw on the 7 turn, but the 6 was a brick, and Livingston was sent packing.

Mei Stays Frozen as Donets Tanks

Level 17 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Yinjie Mei
Yinjie Mei

With about 300,000 already in the middle preflop, Yinjie Mei fired 91,000 from the cutoff on the 2109 flop, and Aleksei Donets called on the button.

The 8 rolled off on the turn, and Mei moved all in, comfortably covering Donets' remaining 190,000. Faced with a decision for his tournament life, Donets disappeared into the tank.

Seated directly to Mei's left, Donets spent the next several minutes staring him down, trying to pick up the slightest tell. Mei, meanwhile, resembled a statue, barely blinking as he sat motionless.

The tank stretched on and on. Other players at the table wandered off for comfort breaks, returned to find the hand still in progress, took another leisurely stroll around the Paris Ballroom, and came back again to discover Donets was still thinking.

After around nine minutes, the clock was finally called. As the countdown ticked toward zero, Donets reluctantly folded, flashing QQ for an overpair as he did.

Mei quietly slid his cards face down to the dealer, offering no clues as to what he held, before dragging in the massive pot to move to just shy of the one-million-chip mark.

Garcia Coolers Kato to the Rail

Level 17 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

With around 150,000 in the middle on a flop of 62J, Jose Garcia bet 40,000 from the cutoff and Atsushi Kato called in middle position.

The turn was the 3 and Garcia bet another 125,000. Kato again called to see the A river, and he then led out for 200,000. Garcia came back with an all-in shove, and Garcia sighed before calling for 140,000 more.

Garcia turned over AA for a rivered set, and Kato flung AJ into the muck as he made his exit.
