Max Neugebauer Eliminated in 10th Place ($63,893)

Level 29 : 100,000/150,000, 150,000 ante
Max Neugebauer
Max Neugebauer

Naseem Salem decided to get tricky, limping in a strong combo of AQ in the small blind. Max Neugebauer checked his option holding the Q7.

Salem then checked his top pair on the Q97 flop, not knowing that he was in fact very behind, as Neugebauer bet out for 225,000 with top and bottom pair. Salem opted to fast-play with a raise to 750,000, and Neugebauer put in the call.

The A river spelled disaster for Neugebauer, as it became two pair over two pair, and Salem opted to check yet again. Neugebauer bet 1,300,000, only for Salem to spring yet another check-raise on him, this time a massive one, as he announced "all in." It was too much of an ask for Neugebauer to get away from his hand, despite the whopping 5,600,000 he still had behind, and he put in the call for his tournament life.

The 5 river confirmed the unofficial final table lineup, as Salem scooped the largest pot of the tournament.

Rick Mechammil shoved 1,245,000 from the cutoff. A pair was enough for Alexis Cruz Martinez, who called from the big blind.

Rick Mechammil: K10All in
Alexis Cruz Martinez: 44

Cruz Martinez was ahead preflop, and it stayed that way following the 9A3 flop, the 6 turn, as well as the A river to send Mechammil home.

Weissman Survives Again

Level 29 : 100,000/150,000, 150,000 ante

Joey Weissman found himself all in again, this time for 705,000 under the gun. Chad Lipton raised to 1,600,000 from the small blind, which folded out John Racener on his left.

Joey Weissman: K9 All in
Chad Lipton: 88

The 6AJ was as good as Weissman could ask for without pairing, as he picked up a flush draw, as well as a whole lot of equity. He may not have hit his flush, but the 9K runout gave him a backdoor two pair, which saw him stay alive.

Weissman Settles For Chop

Level 29 : 100,000/150,000, 150,000 ante

Action folded to Joey Weissman on the button, who had put his remaining 580,000 into the middle. Max Neugebauer woke up with it in the big blind and made the call.

Joey Weissman: A3 All in
Max Neugebauer: AK

Both players hit a running two pair on 6QJ6J to chop the pot, as Weissman lived to fight another day.

Bobby James Eliminated in 12th Place ($51,258)

Level 29 : 100,000/150,000, 150,000 ante
Robert James
Robert James

Bobby James all but shoved from the hijack, leaving just 5,000 of his 2,205,000 stack behind. Chad Lipton then shoved from the cutoff, and James had no choice but to flick in the chip.

Bobby James: 66 All in
Chad Lipton: 1010

The 9A10 flop all but sealed the deal for James, and he knew his fate by the 4 turn. The dealer putting out the 2 river was a mere formality, as his deep run came to an end, and the remaining players sealed a payjump.

Brewer Doubles With Aces

Level 29 : 100,000/150,000, 150,000 ante

Rick Mechammil opened to 300,000 on the button. Chris Brewer put in a very small three-bet to 700,000 from the big blind. Mechammil moved all in, and Brewer called for his tournament life.

Chris Brewer: AA All in
Rick Mechammil: 1010

Mechammil had simply run into it, and the 3Q775 runout gave both players a flush, but Brewer's was of course the superior.

Snap-James

Level 29 : 100,000/150,000, 150,000 ante

Alexander James opened 88 with a raise to 325,000 from the cutoff. Rick Mechammil flatted ducks from the small blind, before Hrabec got tricky with a massive check-raise to 1,300,000 in the big blind holding only Q9. James only slid in a call.

Hrabec continued for 800,000 on the dry 1055 flop, with James snap-jamming it right back at him. His read was correct, and Hrabec got out of the way.
