Manzi Runs Into It

Level 33 : Blinds 200,000/400,000, 400,000 ante

Martin Zamani opened to 900,000 from early position. Action folded to Scott Manzi in the cutoff, who moved all in for slightly more than 6,000,000. Zamani snapped off when it folded to him, as Manzi said, "Just my luck!" upon seeing the bad news.

Scott Manzi: A10 All in
Martin Zamani: AA

Manzi found some hope on the KKQ flop, now needing a jack to help him survive. The Q turn and 10 river offered no help, as Zamani held to send his opponent home.

Eights No Good?

Level 32 : Blinds 150,000/300,000, 300,000 ante

Action was picked up in a hand between the under-the-gun opener Daniel Cohen and Robert Gill, who was on the button. The board read 8479, and Cohen bet 300,000, only to be put all in by his opponent.

Cohen went deep into the tank, and eventually asked himself, "Eights no good?" The dealer let him know that he wasn't allowed to make that comment, and he eventually folded, showing the 8. Gill let him pick a card, and showed the 10 upon request.

Straight Flush For Cohen

Level 32 : Blinds 150,000/300,000, 300,000 ante

Daniel Cohen went all-in for 2,405,000 from the cutoff and was called by Daniel Cohen out of the small blind to be at risk.

Daniel Cohen: 1010All in
Rafael Perry: AK

Cohen stayed ahead on the 997 flop.

The J turn gave Cohen a flush draw before he emphatically sealed the deal when the 8 hit the river to give him a straight flush and double up.

Miguel Faria Lopes raised from under the gun to 600,000, and Robert Georato defended from the big blind with a call. The flop came out with 5A2, Georato checked, and Lopes bet 350,000. Georato called.

On the turn 6, Georato took the lead and bet out 1,175,000; Lopes called.

On the river 5, Georato moved all in with the superior stack for 2,900,000 effective. Lopes went into the think tank and eventually folded.

Ripnick Eliminates Andrade

Level 32 : Blinds 150,000/300,000, 300,000 ante

Gabriel Andrade opened to 650,000 on the button. John Ripnick responded with an all-in from the big blind to put Andrade at risk for approximately 4,500,000.

Gabriel Andrade: AJAll in
John Ripnick: 1010

Andrade needed help, but the flop was of little comfort as it came 107Q to give Ripnick a set. Andrade was not completely out of it with his straight draw, but he was on the ropes with two cards to go.

The J turn altered nothing, and the river didn't bring any drama when the 2 river came down to eliminate Andrade.

Four-Way Pot? Knoll Problem

Level 32 : Blinds 150,000/300,000, 300,000 ante

Ronald McMillen opened the action from early position with a raise to 625,000. In a rare sight for a Day 4, four players went to a flop, with Scott Manzi calling from the hijack, and Ryan Knoll and Valentin Vornicu both defending their blinds.

Action checked through on a 3104 flop, bringing in the K turn. Here, first to act Knoll placed 650,000 into the middle, and only McMillen stuck around to see the river. The 2 river hit the felt, and Knoll went to reach for chips, but McMillen had already folded by the time he got a bet out. "It was tantalizing enough to hope for a spade," said McMillen.
