Badziakouski Nearly Doubles Through Lichtenberger

Level 6 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
Mikita Badziakouski
Mikita Badziakouski

Heads-up on a flop of 6JA with a large pot already brewing, Andrew Lichtenberger bet 30,000 from the big blind and Mikita Badziakouski called.

Lichtenberger check-called a 100,000 bet from Badziakouski on the 4 turn and Lichtenberger checked a final time after the 9 completed the board.

Badziakouski slid all but 1,000 of his remaining stack into the middle for a bet of 187,000 — sending Lichtenberger deep into the tank.

Lichtenberger used up all of his time extensions as he contemplated his decision, but eventually tossed in a few chips to indicate a call.

Badziakouski tabled 66 for a flopped set of sixes and Lichtenberger sent his hand into the muck.

Punsri Falls to Lin, Koon Falls One Table Over

Level 5 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Seeing a raise ahead of him from Ren Lin on the button, Punnat Punsri three-bet to 56,000 from the small blind. The action returned to Lin, who four-bet to 115,000, which Punsri called.

The dealer spread a 39K flop, and Punsri check-called a bet of 50,000 from Lin.

Punsri checked once again on the 4 turn, but this time faced an all-in for his whole stack, roughly 160,000. After a bit of mental arithmetic, he opted to call.

Punnat Punsri: 98 All in
Ren Lin: AK

There was no help to be found on the A river, for Punsri, only serving to improve Lin to two pair.

Joining Punsri on the rail, Jason Koon was also eliminated on the next table over.

Chance Kornuth opened to 12,000 from the hijack and was called by Stephen Chidwick in the cutoff and Vinny Lingham on the button.

Everyone checked on the 277 flop and Kornuth checked again to Chidwick, who bet 14,000 on the 3 turn. Lingham got out of the way and Kornuth called.

The 10 river brought three clubs on board and Kornuth led out for 18,000. Chidwick wasted little time calling and Kornuth turned over KQ for a flush.

Chidwick mucked his hand and Kornuth collected the chips.

Three Way Cooler, Hall Gets Starting Stack Back

Level 5 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
Galen Hall
Galen Hall

The action was joined as Galen Hall, James Laina and Manuel Fritz each manouevred their stacks into the middle preflop. Hall was in middle position, Laina was the cutoff, and Fritz was in the big blind.

Manuel Fritz: AA All in
Galen Hall: QQ All in
James Laina: AK

It was Hall's very first hand of the tournament, and not the start he was looking for.

The 245J7 didn't change the preflop standings, seeing Fritz triple up, and Hall win the side pot, leaving him with 150,000; half a starting stack.

The very next shuffle, however, Hall picked up pocket aces and found a full double up, taking him back to his starting stack.
