Mercier Triples Up Against Koon and Helppi

Level 17 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

On a four-way flop of A103, Jason Mercier jammed for 150,000 in the big blind and was called by Jason Koon in the hijack and Juha Helppi in the cutoff. The 4 turn saw Koon bet 210,000 and Helppi call before the two active players checked down the 3 river.

"I'm gonna win the main pot," Mercier declared and rolled over the 101097 for tens full of treys.

His prediction was spot on as Koon's AQ42 as well as the AKJ4 of Helppi split the side pot.

With the shortest stack in the tournament, Max Neugebauer raised to 40,000 under the gun, with just 10,000 left behind. Dylan Linde called in the hijack, and Adam Monaghan called in the big blind.

The action checked to Linde on the 74J flop, who bet 55,000. Monaghan called, and Neugebauer put his remaining 10,000 into the middle.

Both Monaghan and Linde checked on the K turn, and the 8 completed the board. Monaghan checked for a third time and folded when Linde bet 80,000.

Neugebauer tabled J833, but his exit one shy of the money was confirmed as Linde flipped over AQ109, good for the nut straight.
