Mercier Shuts Down Foxen

Level 18 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

Jason Mercier limped in from under the gun, prompting Juha Helppi and Alex Foxen to do the same from the button and small blind. Daniel Aharoni then checked his option in the big blind.

All four players checked on the 5106 flop, tempting Foxen into a bet on the 10 turn. He put 45,000 into the middle, which was enough to remove Aharoni, but Mercier responded with a raise to 150,000. Helppi folded on the button, and, after some time to consider, Foxen did the same.

Costanzo "Welcome Back" With Healthy Stack

Level 18 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

Matthew Costanzo defended his big blind against Christopher Frank and ultimately ended up all in following a board of Q99J10 to show his K1098 for flopped trips, a turned straight and rivered full house.

Christopher Frank already walked away from the table with his AKK7 for Broadway still showing and was called back in case he had any chips left over. However, Costanzo covered by exactly 5,000 and that spelled the end for Frank.

He was joined on the rail by Daniel Geeng, Lior Abudi and Lou Garza.

"Welcome back," another player remarked to Costanzo while the latter raked in the chips with a smile.
