Mermelstein Hangs On to Double Off Druckman

Level 25 : Blinds 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante

Aaron Mermelstein raised to 420,000 on the button and Jeremy Druckman called in the big blind.

Druckman announced pot on the K95 flop, Mermelstein moved all in for 1,320,000, and Druckman called.

Foxen Applies Pressure on Usterud

Barrett Threadgill limped the small blind and Chongxian Yang then potted to 360,000 from the big blind. Threadgill limp-raised the pot to 1,080,000 and Yang folded.

Eelis Pärssinen raised to 300,000 and won the blinds.

Alex Foxen raised to 300,000 next and was called only by Stian Usterud in the big blind. On the 943 flop both players checked before Usterud bet the 10 turn for 375,000, Foxen called.

Usterud checked the A on the river and Foxen bet the pot for 1,530,000 to send his opponent into the tank. The Norwegian used one time bank and folded.

Parssinen Chips Up Through Gryko

Eelis Parssinen limped the cutoff and Richard Gryko did so on the button before Alex Foxen in the small blind came along, Barrett Threadgill checked in the big blind. The AQJ flop was checked to Parssinen and he made it 150,000 to go. Only Gryko called to then see the 10 turn get checked to him, Gryko bet 400,000 and Parssinen called.

The river brought the Q and Parssinen now bet 900,000 in the last hand before the break, forcing out Gryko.

Parssinen, Gryko Take Pots on the River

Alex Foxen raised to 275,000 in middle position and Eelis Parssinen called in the big blind.

The flop came 879 and Foxen bet 230,000. Parssinen called, and they both then checked the 6 turn.

Parssinen led out for 725,000 on the 4 river, and Foxen folded.

A few hands later at this table, Chongxian Yang and Richard Gryko went to a flop of 7Q10 in a limped pot when Yang bet 180,000 from the hijack. Gryko called in the big blind.

The turn was the J and Yang bet another 250,000. Gryko again called, and the J fell on the river. Gryko then bet 1,050,000, and Yang quickly folded.

Aaron Mermelstein was in the big blind and faced the pot-sized raise to 350,000 by Biao Ding in the hijack, which he called. Mermelstein then pushed his last 520,000 in after the K109 flop for Ding to reluctantly call.

The 8 turn gave both players the same two pair but the 2 river improved Mermelstein to a flush for the double.

"You nitrolled me with aces?" he asked and Ding shook his head in frustration.
