Level 33 : 100,000/200,000, 30,000 ante
Ken Coppock
Ken Coppock

Kent Coppock opened from the button, and Thomas Pomponio called from the big blind.

The flop was {j-Hearts}{q-Hearts}{7-Clubs}, and Pomponio check-called a bet of 700,000 from Coppock. The turn card was the {5-Clubs}, and another check from Pomponio saw Coppock quickly move all in.

Pomponio thought for several minutes, as his tournament was on the line, before folding.

“You want to see, or no?” Coppock asked Pomponio.

“I don’t care,” came the reply.

“My rail says no,” grinned Coppock.

Yilmaz's Boat is Best

Level 33 : 100,000/200,000, 30,000 ante

With about 2,000,000 chips already in the middle and the board reading {J-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{8-Spades}, Raul Martinez bet 1,000,000, and his lone opponent, Erkut Yilmaz, called.

The river was the {4-Spades}, and Martinez bet again — 3,000,000 this time. After a few moments of thought, Yilmaz called and tabled {10-Spades}{10-Diamonds} for tens full of jacks. Martinez showed {9-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} for a turned jack-high straight, and Yilmaz took the pot.

"I couldn't ship on him. He had too much," said Yilmaz as he stacked the chips.

Ardavan Yazdi moved all in from the button for about 800,000 chips and Matt Affleck called from the big blind to put Yazdi at risk.

Yazdi tabled {K-Spades}{8-Spades} and needed to improve against Affleck's {A-Hearts}{4-Clubs}. The board ran out {Q-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}{4-Spades}, which paired Affleck's four but was no help to Yazdi, and he was eliminated in 16th place.

Ardavan Yazdi opened from under the gun and Matt Affleck moved all in for 2,025,000 as the shortest stack in the tournament.

Yazdi gave it some consideration before making the call.

Matt Affleck: {k-Spades}{q-Diamonds}
Ardavan Yazdi: {a-Spades}{10-Hearts}.

The board ran out {7-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{q-Spades}.

The river delivering a pair to double up Affleck and leave Yazdi on fumes.
