Dato and Rezaei Depart in Quick Succession

Level 20 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante
Armin Rezaei Daniel Rezaei
Armin Rezaei Daniel Rezaei

Andrea Dato had carefully waited for a spot to get his chips in only to find his premium hand in pocket jacks dominated. Aliaksandr Shylko had the KK and remained ahead all the way on the A43A6 board.

Daniel Rezaei was next to fall. Having previously lost a showdown pot to Jonathan Pastore, he was in there for the last eight big blinds with pocket sixes. Eusebiu Jalba took the flop with the AK and spiked one of the overcards on the K97Q2 runout.

Angelou-Konstas Drawing Thin

Level 20 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante
Ioannis Angelou-Konstas
Ioannis Angelou-Konstas

Dario Sammartino had raised from the hijack and Ioannis Angelou-Konstas had called from the cutoff, creating a pot of 170,000. Sammartino then checked on the Q8K flop before Angelou-Konstas made a bet of 135,000. Sammartino made the call and the 2 turn rolled off.

Sammartino checked again and Angelou-Konstas put in a bet of 200,000. Sammartino then put Angelou-Konstas all-in for 550,000 chips total, and the latter instantly made the call.

Ioannis Angelou-Konstas: J10
Dario Sammartino: K2

Angelou-Konstas had a flush draw but it was nullified by Sammartino's higher flush draw, leaving Angelou-Konstas only with an open-ended straight draw.

However, the 6 river completed both players' flushes, meaning that Angelou-Konstas was sent home.

Amsellem Hits the Flop to Crush Verhoef

Level 20 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante
Jacob Amsellem
Jacob Amsellem

Miroslav Salaj raised to 55,000 in early position and Christian Rudolph and Jacob Amsellem both called. Leon Verhoef then moved all in for 550,000 in the small blind.

Salaj tanked for a minute before picking up his cards and slamming them down in the muck. Rudolph quickly folded, but Amsellem called.

Leon Verhoef: 88
Jacob Amsellem: K10

The 1039 flop gave Amsellem the lead with a pair of tens, and Verhoef couldn't catch up on the 6 turn or 9 river and was sent to the rail.

Hallay Doubles Through Angelou-Konstas

Level 20 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante
Axel Hallay
Axel Hallay

Axel Hallay had 465,000 out in front with a single T-25,000 chip behind and Ioannis Angelou-Konstas on the button then reraised to get the blinds out of the way.

"Can I take one minute?" Hallay politely asked and the Greek nodded, as did other players at the table while the event was on a pay jump. Ultimately, Hallay called all-in and they were off to the races.

Axel Hallay: AK
Ioannis Angelou-Konstas: QQ

The most classic of coin flips saw Hallay it two aces on the AA5 flop.

"Queen on the river," he predicted. The 3 turn was a blank and so was the 6 river.

Hallay survived and next to fall from the same table was instead Julian Märgner, who had secured the pay jump after an elimination on a different table.

Bogdanov Stays in Atac Mode

Level 20 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante
Salih Atac
Salih Atac

Salih Atac raised it up to 50,000 in the cutoff and big stack Yulian Bogdanov three-bet to 185,000 in the small blind. The four-bet shove by Atac for around 950,000 followed and Bogdanov instantly called.

Salih Atac: A5
Yulian Bogdanov: AK

"Oh shit," Atac gasped when he saw his move in dire shape. The Swiss picked up a flush draw on the J73 flop and gutshot on the 6 turn. However, neither of the outs came on a blank Q river and that sent Atac to the payout desk in 65th place.

Christophe Panetti
Christophe Panetti

Christophe Panetti had lost a big portion of his stack right before and was then in the big blind.

Hacine Chatteur raised to 40,000 first to act and Alex Keating called in the cutoff. Martin Guerrero Troianoski pushed all-in from the small blind and Panetti called all-in for 25,000, Chatteur and Keating folded.

Christophe Panetti: Q3
Martin Guerrero Troianoski: 1010

Only one trey appeared on the 7423J board and Panetti had to settle for 66th place.

A Sudden Flurry of Eliminations

Level 19 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

When the action was caught, the pot had already been rewarded, but Kiryl Kyrliuk was left with no chips when his AJ could not win against AK on 8KAA2.

One hand later on the same table, Michael Rocco opened from under the gun before Stoyan Madanzhiev three-bet jammed his last 250,000 in the middle from the hijack. The action folded back to Rocco, who put in the call.

Stoyan Madanzhiev: AJ
Michael Rocco: JJ

Madanzhiev flopped a flush draw on 439, but neither that nor his ace would come in on the 105 runout, and he was also eliminated.

Meanwhile, Jens Lakemeier walked away from his table as he had also lost a preflop all-in.

Refos on the Rise; Devours Tuna

Level 19 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante
Raoul Refos
Raoul Refos

Raoul Refos open-shoved from early position for roughly 450,000 and Akin Tuna called from the button with slightly less than that. The blinds got out of the way and a showdown was had.

Akin Tuna: 99
Raoul Refos: A10

Refos flopped a pair on 10Q5 to take the lead. The 6 turn changed nothing, nor did the 4 river.

Tuna was eliminated from the Main Event while Refos started to approach an average stack.

Bogdanov Sucks Out to Eliminate Bohdanov and Maugini

Level 19 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante
Yulian Bogdanov
Yulian Bogdanov

Vittorio Maugini open-jammed his last 105,000 chips from the cutoff before Renat Bohdanov made it 200,000 to go from the button. Yulian Bogdanov then four-bet to 1,000,000 and the action folded back to Bohdanov, who went all in for 1,305,00.

Bogdanov made the call and all cards were tabled.

Vittorio Maugini: K5
Renat Bohdanov: 1010
Yulian Bogdanov: 99

It was a great spot for Bohdanov, but Bogdanov hit a set on 892. The 4 gave no additional outs for Bohdanov, and the J river did not bring a ten either.

Maugini was eliminated in 72nd place, while Bohdanov received a payjump to €22,150 for finishing in 71st.

Dusco Done For the Day Against Mazza-Boussemart

Level 19 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante
Alexandr Dusco
Alexandr Dusco

Lachezar Petkov had raised to 40,000 and Alexandr Dusco flat-called. Giuseppe Mazza-Boussemart then pushed all-in to force out Petkov, while Dusco instantly called for near even stacks.

Alexandr Dusco: KK
Giuseppe Mazza-Boussemart: AQ

Mazza-Boussemart was caught with the fingers in the cookie jar but the A55A8 runout left Dusco drawing dead on the turn. Both stacks were counted and Dusco was covered to bow out in 74th place.
