Strauss Doubles With Trips Against Metaal

Level 4 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante
Govert Metaal
Govert Metaal

On a board of 1010KQ, there were around 20,000 in the pot when Govert Metaal checked from under the gun and Tyson Strauss had bet from the button. Metaal then shoved, and after some time in the tank, Strauss called off his stack of 54,500.

Tyson Strauss: A10 All in
Govert Metaal: KQ

Strauss was apologetic that he had taken so long to call with trips, and the 4 river kept him in the lead. Metaal didn't let out any emotion, instead he just paid what he owed and moved on to the next hand.

In a three-bet pot on 267, Yannick Schumacher in the hijack bet 6,000. Jose Sorribes in the cutoff folded, but Christopher Puetz check-raised to 18,000 from under the gun. Schumacher three-bet to 32,000, but Puetz clicked back to 46,000. Schumacher went deep into the tank and called.

The turn card was the 6 that Puetz checked. Schumacher bet 9,000, but once again, Puetz check-raised to 18,000.

Schumacher quickly re-raised all-in. It was now Puetz's turn to go into the tank for more than two minutes. He eventually folded, keeping 36,000 behind. In total, the hand lasted more than 10 minutes.

Sharanshi Takes Three-Bet Pot in 'Strange Hand'

Level 4 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante

There was an open to 1,500 and a call, before Mustafa Sharanshi called on the button. Bruno De Souza was in the small blind, and he produced a three-bet to 8,000. Only Sharanshi called.

The 762 flop was checked to the K turn, where De Souza check-called a bet of 5,000 from Sharanshi.

The Q river completed the board, and De Souza checked once more. Sharanshi slid out a bet of 10,000, and De Souza went into the tank.

Eventually the clock was called, and as time was about to run out, De Souza open-folded K for top pair kings, leading to a raised eyebrow from Sharanshi as he raked in the pot.

"The title for this one is 'Strange Hand'", joked Andrei Birgaoanu, sitting beside the protagonists.
