    Keven Stammen -- Event No. 13 Champion
    Keven Stammen -- Event No. 13 Champion

    Congratulations to Keven Stammen, Winner of Event No. 13, $2,500 No-Limit Hold'em ($506,786)

    After two long, 13-hour days of play, 20 players returned today to determine who would be taking home the gold bracelet and over a half a million dollars for winning Event No. 13. It only took about half as long today -- about seven-and-a-half hours -- for those 20 to play down to one, with Keven "Stamdogg" Stammen being the one to claim all of the chips. After four cashes at the 2008 WSOP, Stammen wins his first WSOP bracelet.

    Phil Ivey, Roland de Wolfe, and Kirill Gerasimov were all among the 20 who returned today, but all fell early in the afternoon, and within three hours we had rapidly arrived at our ten-handed final table.

    At that point, Bahador Ahmadi had the chip lead, with Angel Guillen and Stammen close behind. Players continued to be eliminated at a fast clip until play reached five-handed, at which point Torrey Reily -- having nursed his short stack all of the way to a six-figure score -- was finally ousted in fifth place.

    Within minutes Stammen had knocked out both Ahmadi in fourth and Glines in third, and after just 70 hands at the ten-handed final table, we were down to two.

    When heads up began, Stammen enjoyed a better than 2-to-1 chip advantage over Guillen. He increased his lead, but Guillen fought back, and it was starting to look as though we may be in for a lengthy heads-up battle. But on the 20th hand, Guillen flopped top pair of nines and a flush draw and got it all in versus Stammen's pocket jacks, and Stammen's hand held up, giving him the bracelet.

    Congratulations to Keven Stammen for coming out on top of a field of 1,088 runners to win Event No. 13. Thanks for following our coverage, and be sure to come back to PokerNews for all things WSOP.

    Angel Guillen - 2nd Place
    Angel Guillen - 2nd Place

    Angel Guillen Eliminated in 2nd Place ($312,800); Keven Stammen Wins Event No. 13 ($506,786)

    On the 20th hand of heads-up play, Keven Stammen raised to 150,000 on the button, and Angel Guillen called. The flop came {9-Spades}{8-Hearts}{2-Hearts}. Guillen checked, Stammen bet 225,000, Guillen check-raised to 775,000, Stammen moved all in, and Guillen called.

    Guillen {J-Hearts}{9-Hearts}
    Stammen {J-Clubs}{J-Spades}

    The turn brought the {10-Spades}, giving Guillen even more straight outs to survive. But the river was the {2-Clubs}, and Stammen is our Event No. 13 champion!

    Guillen Gaining

    A couple of hands after the last one we reported, Angel Guillen again raised to 120,000 from the button and Stammen again called. The flop came {9-Spades}{8-Spades}{3-Clubs}. Stammen checked, Guillen bet 145,000, and Stammen called. Both checked the {6-Clubs} on the turn.

    The {6-Diamonds} came on the end. Stammen checked, Guillen bet 305,000, and this time Stammen decided to look his opponent up.

    Guillen showed {10-Hearts}{10-Spades} for the overpair, and Stammen mucked. Guillen now has 3.1 million, getting closer to Stammen who has 5.1 million.

    A Couple of Worthy Foes

    In the 15th hand of heads-up play, Angel Guillen raised to 120,000 from the button, and Keven Stammen called.

    The flop came {Q-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}, and both checked. The turn was the {10-Clubs}. Stammen checked, Guillen bet 135,000, and Stammen called.

    The river was the {9-Hearts}. Stammen again checked, Guillen bet 280,000, and Stammen went into the tank for a while before finally tossing his cards to the dealer.

    The pair exchanged wordless grins afterwards, and Stammen rolled his eyes as if to say "I think I might've had you there." This may be over soon, or it may turn into a long, cagey battle.

    Guillen now up to 2.57 million, Stammen 5.63 million.

    Angel Gets Some Back

    Angel Guillen has picked up a few pots to push back up to 2.25 million. Stammen has 5.95 million.

    In the most recent one, Guillen raised to 120,000 from the button and Stammen called. The flop came {A-Spades}{J-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}. Stammen checked, Guillen bet 145,000, Stammen check-raised to 420,000, and Guillen instantly announced he was all in. Stammen thought a beat, then folded.

    Stamdogg Takes Another Bite

    In the third hand of heads-up play, Angel Guillen raised to 120,000 from the small blind/button, and Keven "Stamdogg" Stammen made the call. Both checked the {A-Spades}{10-Spades}{9-Spades} flop as well as the {A-Hearts} turn. The river was the {3-Hearts}. Stammen bet 180,000, and Guillen called.

    Stammen turned over {A-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} for a full house, and Guillen mucked. Stammen moves past 6 million on that one, while Guillen has just about 2 million.
