    Brown Hits the Matt

    Short stacks get shorter once again -- Matt Glantz is down to 150,000.

    Chad Brown raised it up in the cutoff and Glantz called out of the small blind to see a {2-Clubs} {J-Spades} {7-Clubs} flop which they both checked.

    Glantz bet out on the {10-Hearts} turn and Brown called; he proceeded to check the {3-Hearts} river and then call a bet from Brown after a brief tank. It was the wrong decision though -- when Brown flipped {A-Spades} {10-Diamonds} he mucked, and is not in very good shape now.

    Brummelhuis Party

    And the very next hand, a double up for our sole remaining Dutchman.

    All in preflop against Pat Pezzin, Brummelhuis had to hit, and hit he did, making a straight to stay in the game.

    Pezzin: {A-Hearts} {Q-Clubs}
    Brummelhuis: {K-Spades} {J-Diamonds}

    Board: {10-Spades} {9-Diamonds} {7-Diamonds} {8-Hearts} {2-Diamonds}

    With a sigh of relief, Brummelhuis raked in his new 280,000 stack. Will no one ever bust out of this?

    Brummelhuis in Trouble

    It's not looking good for a second bracelet for the Netherlands in this event -- Michiel Brummelhuis is down to 125,000.

    Chad Brown raised in early position and Brummelhuis called from the small blind; chip leader Pat Pezzin came along for the ride from the big.

    The {3-Diamonds} {4-Diamonds} {4-Spades} flop checked around to Brown who bet, and Brummelhuis called. A fold from Pezzin and they were at the {5-Clubs} turn. Brummelhuis bet out and Brown raised; a call, and they saw the {7-Diamonds} river.

    Brummelhuis now checked -- and passed to a bet from Brown, leaving himself relative pocket change...

    Happy as Shammy

    One (More) Time!

    Wow, Soheil Shamseddin just will not depart this tournament for love nor (at least not 8th place) money.

    He dropped a few more chips and had 130,000 total by the time Michiel Brummelhuis raised under the gun. Shamseddin reraised, Brummelhuis four-bet and Shamseddin called all in. On their backs.

    Shamseddin: {3-Hearts} {3-Clubs}
    Brummelhuis: {A-Spades} {K-Hearts}

    Flop: {5-Clubs} {9-Diamonds} {Q-Diamonds}

    Turn: {J-Hearts}, and some ooh-ing from the crowd.

    "One time!" cried Shamseddin, really getting into this all-in lark now, "Pair the board! One time!"

    "One time?" commented a disgruntled member of the Dutch press. "He'll have doubled up three times now."

    River: {5-Spades}

    Shamseddin got his wish, and doubled one more time to 298,000.

    Not Shamming

    Another double up, rather luckier this time, for Soheil Shamseddin who got his last in on a {3-Spades} {8-Spades} {Q-Clubs} flop.

    Shamseddin: {K-Spades} {Q-Hearts}
    Matt Hawrilenko: {A-Clubs} {K-Hearts}

    Turn: {5-Diamonds}
    River: {K-Diamonds}

    He's up to 230,000 now. Hawrilenko's down to 780,000.

    Brown Knave-l Gazing

    Chad Brown is up to over a million in chips after raising from the cutoff and getting called by Greg Mueller in the big blind.

    Mueller check-called the {10-Spades} {3-Spades} {9-Hearts} flop, and both players checked the {6-Spades} turn. Mueller bet out on the dangerous looking {A-Spades} river but Brown called and his {K-Clubs} {J-Spades} flush was good to take the pot.

    Short Stack Stays In

    Down to just 61,000, Soheil Shamseddin got his chips in from the big blind to a raise from small blind Chad Brown.

    Shamseddin: {A-Clubs} {K-Clubs}
    Brown: {A-Hearts} {Q-Clubs}

    Board: {4-Spades} {2-Diamonds} {8-Spades} {3-Diamonds} {4-Hearts}

    Double up! Shamseddin's still our shortie on 122,000 though.
