RGPS Grand Prix at MGM National Harbor Starts Oct. 27; $300k Guaranteed in Main Event

Ten shiny rings will be up for grabs when the RunGood Poker Series (RGPS) Grand Prix comes to MGM National Harbor in Maryland later this month.
Tournament action in National Harbor, MD, begins Oct. 27 with a $700 RunGood Package Satellite at 11:15 a.m. At least three players will win a package that includes seats into seven of the 10 events on the schedule, including the Main Event, a tournament that will be live reported by PokerNews. There will also be a $200 Main Event satellite on the same day, with one out of every 11 players earning a seat into the biggest tournament of the series.
RGPS Grand Prix Series Highlights
The first ring event on the upcoming RGPS Grand Prix schedule kicks off at 11:15 a.m. on Oct. 28, and that is the $400 Series Opener No-Limit Hold'em, a tournament with $20,000 guaranteed. Opening Day will also feature a $300 Tag Team No-Limit Hold'em event starting at 6:15 p.m.
Day 2 (Oct. 29) begins bright and early at 10:15 a.m. with the first multi-flight event of the series — $400 Deepstack. There will be at least $50,000 in the pot for this one, and players can enter the two separate flights, both on the same day.
There are some traditional RGPS favorites on the schedule, including a $400 Black Chip Bounty No-Limit Hold'em on Oct. 30. Later in the day, at 3:15 p.m., the first $1,700 buy-in RGPS Main Event flight takes place. The Main Event comes with a $300,000 guaranteed prize pool and will have three Day 1 starting flights, one each day through Nov. 1.
Players will start with 40,000 chips and play 40-minute levels on Day 1. Blind levels will increase to 50 minutes on Day 2 (Nov. 2), and then jump to 60-minute levels at the final table. Late registration and re-entries are permitted up until the start of Level 13.
The series wraps on Nov. 3 with a $2,200 Purple Chip Bounty at 11:15 a.m. and a $500 One Day No-Limit Hold'em tournament at 4:14 p.m. PokerNews will be on-site, live reporting the Main Event from start to finish.
