Poker Player Goes on Super Tilt After Same Opponent Cracks Aces Twice
Poker player Eric Reinhardt went on extreme tilt in a Las Vegas poker tournament after having his aces cracked twice by the same opponent.
The hands took place during the Clash of Kings & Queens National Championship at the FPN Vegas National Championship festival at the Golden Nugget Las Vegas, a series that PokerNews is on-site live reporting.
One of the hands involved quads, the other involved a runner-runner straight, and both involved Marvin Rumer.
"Every F***ing Time"
Reinhardt's no good, very bad day began early as Rumer raised with ace-jack and called a three-bet from Reinhardt, who had his opponent drawing thin with pocket aces.
The flop of three jacks left Reinhardt drawing dread in the hand, and Rumer slow-played with a check-call before getting the rest of his chips in on the turn.
Reinhardt took the beat in stride, but he couldn't help himself a few hours later when he once again picked up aces and tangled with Rumer. This time, Rumer held pocket sevens and got his chips in on a flop of 4♣6♦2♠ to be far behind, until the board finished out 8♣5♦ to give him a miracle runner-runner straight to once again double through Reinhardt.
"Same f***ing guy!" cried Reinhardt. "How the f*** does this happen EVERY SINGLE TIME?! Every f***ing time."
Reinhardt, who was left short and eliminated a brief time later, let Rumer know that there were no hard feelings — "not you, man. I just need to breathe." He got his breather as the floor came over to break the table.
The Clash of Kings & Queens National Championship, which is the final championship event on the FPN Vegas National Championship schedule, currently has 43 players remaining, including Rumer. There will be 27 places paid, and the eventual champion will win $25,000.
