Daily King Jeremy Becker channeled his inner Eric Wasserson today inside the PokerGO Studio as he slowrolled an opponent after picking up pocket aces. As it turned out, John Riordan had almost as strong of a hand with pocket kings.

The hand took place during the 2026 PokerGO Cup, a series running through March 15 that PokerNews has been on-site providing live coverage of.

The series has featured plenty of banter, side bets, and straddles, and PokerNews live reporter Tyler Boyer captured one for the highlight reel.

Cooler Ends in Slowroll

Becker had just sat down in Event #9: $10,000 NLH to blinds of 1,500/2,500/2,500 after finishing in sixth place in Event #8: $10,000 NLH for $38,500.

As reported by PokerNews, he opened from the hijack to 5,000, and when it folded to Riordan on the button, he three-bet to 15,500. It folded back to Becker, who then clicked it back to Riordan with a four-bet to 31,000. Riordan responded with a five-bet all in, slightly covering the 71,500 stack of Becker.

Becker then went into the tank saying, "I thought if I did you would think I have aces."

He continued to sit in the tank, saying "Do you have a pair? If you promise you don't have a pair, I will give you action."

Finally, before a time extension was needed, he flipped in a chip to make the call.

John Riordan: KK
Jeremy Becker: AA

Becker had the table, including Riordan cracking up at the slowroll, but there would be no justice for Riordan as the board ran out 8AJ76 giving Becker the double up with his set of aces.

A few hands later Riordan was eliminated.

Becker rose to fame in the poker world by going on an unprecedented run in Wynn daily tournaments, and he's more recently made his mark in the PokerGO Studio. He's approaching $5 million in career earnings and has two PokerGO Tour (PGT) titles to his name.

There are 42 entrants so far in Event #9 with players on their first break of the day. The series will culminate tomorrow with the finale Event #10: $15,000 NLH, which will reach its conclusion on Sunday, March 15.
