"I know the feeling… it's not a good one," says Tardif. "You make a very close call on the flop hoping to turn some real equity, or that the villain pumps the brakes, but he doesn't. He jams it in your face instead."
Tardif says that you shouldn't feel committed to your hand just because of the flop call.
"Because we only need 33% equity to make the call here. It's very hard to find any hands in his range that we have that much equity against, and this should be an easy fold. When you're in this spot, take a few deep breaths, think about his range, and make the correct decision."
