Edison Out, 19 Remain, Break Time

Level 18 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Edison Nguyen was eliminated, leaving us with 18 players.

Nguyen was sent home just moments before the players were sent on a break.

When the players return they will be breaking down to the final two tables.

Lee Goes From Robusto to Busto

Level 18 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Alex Lee started the day as the chip leader, but has now been eliminated in 20th place.

Lee lost plenty of pots early and was down to around 240,000 when he got all the chips in preflop holding {j-Clubs}{j-Spades} and had to come up against Murray Roach with {a-Diamonds}{k-Spades}.

The board ran out {6-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{10-Spades}{10-Clubs}{k-Spades} and it was to the rail for Lee.

One more elimination and we will be down to two tables.

Khaaaaaaaaan!

Level 18 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Muhammad Khan has been sent home in 21st place.

He was all in preflop holding {a-}{j-} against the {k-}{q-} of Jazz Mathers.

Once again the board was friendly to Mathers, with {7-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}{5-Spades} the last five cards Khan would see.

Doumit Done in 23rd; Neilson Out in 22nd

Level 18 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Two eliminations just occurred at almost the exact same time.

First Jim Doumit was eliminated in 23rd place.

Then moments later Daniel Neilson was out in 22nd place.

Neilson's elimination was quite brutal as he recalled to us what happened.

Apparently Neilson opened with a raise from under the gun holding {a-Spades}{q-Spades}. One opponent three-bet small, the big blind called and so did Neilson.

Neilson then flopped the nuts and a Royal Flush draw to go along with it - {j-Spades}{10-Spades}{2-Spades}.

Neilson got his stack of around 260,000 in here and was looking good against {j-}{j-}.

The turn was a safe {q-}, but the {2-} river meant Neilson had ran into the full house to be eliminated.

Glase Gone as Mathers Gets Richer

Level 18 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Nathan Glase is the latest player to hit the rail. He was eliminated in 24th place.

All of Glase's chips went to Jazz Mathers.

It was a bit of a cooler.

Mathers was in the small blind holding {9-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}, while Glase had {k-}{q-}.

Flop: {5-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}

As you can imagine, all the chips went in here and with a {9-Spades} turn and a {3-Hearts} river completing the board, Glase was sent home.

Mathers is up to well over 1 million and is the standout chip leader.

Last Lady Gone as Down to 24

Level 18 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

We’ve lost our last two female players with Swaran Chand and Eva Docekalova hitting the rail.

Docekalova’s last chips were all in preflop with {K-Diamonds}{J-Hearts} against the pocket sevens of Nathan Glase. Docekalova needed some help but

it didn’t arrive on the board of {9-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{3-Spades}{4-Diamonds} as she was eliminated in 25th place.

At the same time Chand was eliminated on another table to leave us with no more ladies in our final 24 players.

Judah Roached

Level 18 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Australian Poker Hall of Fame member Mel Judah has just been eliminated in 29th place.

He was short stacked when he shoved holding {7-}{7-}. He ran into Murray Roach with {j-}{j-}.

No help on the board and Judah was sent home.
