Chris Chronis has just surged to the chip lead after eliminating Haki Sejnovski; or "Rocky" as Crown regulars and staff like to call him.
After some back and forth preflop raising, both players saw the flop of . Sejnovski led out, and Chronis raised to 15,000, which was immediately followed by the all-in reraise from Sejnovski. Chronis made the call tabling to be ahead of Sejnovski's .
The turn and river fell the and KO-ing Rocky to the rail as Chronis chipped up to 84,000 in chips.
Khalil fans love the hero calls
In a recent hand at Table 15, the under-the-gun player opened to 450 with both Josh "JJProdigy" Field in late position and Ali "The Peppermint Hippo" Khalil from the big blind making the call.
The three players checked a flop, and moved to the turn. Field fired out 1,050, with Khalil check-calling and the under-the-gun player folding.
On the river Field again fired 1,550 and Khalil once again check-called. Field sheepishly tabled for king high, and Khalil revealed the river hero call, when he showed down for ace high.
The chip counts are constantly evolving as we get deeper into Day 1a. The latest round shows that Julian Powell is heading into turbulent waters with just 5,400 chips in his stack. He's faring better than Paul Rochford, who busted out of the tournament.
At the opposite end of the spectrum, Shane Moran has made some impressive headway to double the starting stack.
Craig "HU4ROLLZ" Bergeron opened to 575 under the gun and found only one caller on the button. On a flop of Bergeron led for 775 and his opponent made the call.
Both players checked the on the turn and when the landed on the river Bergeron led strongly with a bet of 2,275 and his opponent made the call.
"HU4ROLLZ" turned over , and as his opponent mucked, Bergeron raked in the pot sending him to over 27,000 in chips.
A battled out chop for these two
Con Angelakis opened from middle position to 750, and with the action back on Crown regular Dean Francis he bumped it to 1,750 with Angelakis making the call.
The flop fell down and Angelakis led out for 2,000. Francis then moved all in for his last 8,425, and after some thought and time, Angelakis made the call.

Francis was in great shape to double until the landed on the turn, and with Francis standing up ready to vacate the tournament floor, he would be brought back down when the landed on the river filling a straight on the board.
If you were to give David Saab credit for only one thing, it's that he makes for good copy. He opened from the button for 700, then called a reraise by the player in the big blind to 1,700. "You can't bully me," Saab told the big blind. "I'm David Saab!"
On a flop of , the big blind led out for 1,500. Saab's response was to move all in for 15,000 chips. "Where are you going now?" he asked.

Balaban down to 8,200
Tim Balaban's hopes of claiming this year's Aussie Millions have taken a bit of a hit after he folded a pot to Martin Comer.
Each player contributed 5,000 to the pot on the turn, and at the river the board read . Balaban obviously didn't like the river, and checked to Comer, who bet out 12,000 chips, enough to set his opponent all in.
Balaban proceeded to open-muck for two pair, on a board that had significant set, straight and flush possibilities. He's now down to 8,200, while Comer would have to be happy with his start, up to 34,500.
Khouiss flops two-outer
With it folding round to Sam Khouiss in middle position, he opened with a raise for 700. The action was on Yvo Molin and he raised it to 2,500 total.
Khouiss made the call and checked the flop of to Molin, who led out for 5,000. Khouis ummed and ahhed before raising to 10,000, which was immediately followed with an all-in reraise from Molin. Khouiss quickly made the call and the cards were tabled.
