Danielsson Talks It Up With The Aussies

Chuck Danielsson raised the button to 17,000 before Peter Aristidou put in the three-bet to 45,000. Danielsson rocked back in his chair and cringed before making an apparant tough fold.

"That's a reluctant fold!" sighed Danielsson, but David Saab gave his usual laugh and didn't seem so convinced.

"What percentile do you think my hand was in there?" said the analytical Danielsson.

"King-ten off," came the reply from Saab, failing to address the question.

"I monster king-ten off!" responded Danielsson, which drew more laughter from the table, as another tablemate chipped in, "Mate, one thing to learn is that you don't bullshit with Australians!"

Kaczka Climbs to 220k

Harrison Kaczka has just doubled through Daniel Carter to move to 220,000 in chips.

The two got it all in before the flop; Kaczka with queens and Carter with jacks. It was all but over after the flop came {9-Spades}

, giving Kaczka queens full. The turn and river followed up an inconsequential {9-Clubs}

,

and Kaczka raked in the pot.

Carter dropped to just 12,000 in chips after the hand.

Bubble Rapidly Approaching

It's been a rather frenetic pace so far this afternoon as we rapidly approach that stage of the tournament where the short stacks nervously look over their shoulders as the money bubble is now upon us.

According to the big screen we have 112 players remaining which means we are only four eliminations away from the cash. The minimum reward for players in this event is $2,286 AUD, so certainly worth hanging around a little bit longer to reach!

Lackovic Runs Into Rubie

Petar Lackovic has been eliminated at the hands of Brendon Rubie. Lackovic moved all-in for his last 20,000 from late position, finding one call in the cutoff position, before Brendon Rubie moved all-in over the top from the small blind to force a fold from the cutoff player.

2009 PokerNews Cup Australia Main Event winner Con Tsapkounis has just been eliminated from Event 1.

Tsapkounis opened with a raise to 11,000 from the hijack position and an opponent came over the top with a 30,000 three-bet. Tsapkounis made the call and the two saw a {4-Spades}
