Kagawa's Aces No Good

Jens Kerper got all of his chips in preflop against Masa Kagawa.

Kerper was holding {q-Clubs}{q-Diamonds} versus Kagawa's {A-Diamonds}{A-Hearts}.

The flop gave Kerper a bit of hope when it fell {9-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}.

The turn {3-Clubs} was no good but it was on the river that Kerper got his card, the {k-Diamonds} for the straight to crack Kagawa's aces.

Kerper is now sitting on 230,000 and Kagawa has made his exit.

Steicke Kills Dan's Action

See you next time Dan.
See you next time Dan.
Dan Harrington was all in preflop against David Steicke. The two were off to the races, as Harrington held pocket queens and Steicke held {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}.

The board ran out {6-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{k-Spades}{k-Hearts} and Steicke was sitting full as a house with kings full of eights by the river.

Harrington is busto, while Steicke now sits on 115,000.

Hey Chad, Meet Sorel Mizzi.

Wiedenhoeft's stack.
Wiedenhoeft's stack.
Our tournament chip leader Chad Wiedenhoeft has a new neighbor. Sorel Mizzi, who was just moved to Studio 3. Wiedenhoeft is still at the 380,000 mark, but should be worried by Mizzi's impressive 310,000.

You know who should also be worried? The rest of the table, who combined only has 255,000.

Delaney Crushes Margets

Ben Delaney opened up the action making it 4,000 to go preflop UTG, and was called by Leo Margets out of the big blind, and one other player.

The flop came {a-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{10-Clubs} and Margets checked to Delaney who bet 7,200. The other opponent got out of the way, and Margets than moved all in for about 42,000. Delaney made the call and was drawing with a flush and straight draw holding {k-Clubs}{q-Diamonds} against Margets flopped two-pair, with {a-Hearts}{5-Hearts}.

Delaney asked the dealer to hit him on the turn, and hit him he did, with the {9-Clubs} completing Delaney's flush. Margets was unable to pull an ace or a five on the river, and Delaney stacked up about 125,000 in chips after the hand.

A-OK

Pierre Aoukar is sitting second in chips overall after busting a short stack from the tournament.

Aoukar looked down at pocket kings and called an opponent's preflop all-in bet. Said opponent made the move with {A-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}.

The board then ran out jack-high and Aoukar raked in the pot with ease, improving to 286,000 in chips on the day.

Adam Cusenza's Aces are Good

On a flop of {10-Diamonds}{a-Spades}{2-Clubs} Adam Cusenza, who cracked aces earlier was now holding the aces. His fate, unlike his earlier fore was looking promising as his opponent was well behind with a set of deuces.

The turn was the {6-Diamonds}, and the river the {j-Diamonds} and Cusenza doubled up to about 140,000.

While the stacks were being counted down Cusenza said with a smile, "I was waiting for the last deuce to hit the river." His opponent, laughed and said "so was I."

Ben Delaney then commented that the player with deuces was taking things remarkably well.

Ben Delaney and Van Marcus

Ben Delaney was brought up to Studio 3 and is now seated to the left of Leo Margets. Van Marcus is at the table next to them, and Marcus and Delaney seem to be happily throwing lighthearted verbal jabs at one another.

Nothing we have really understood or deciphered out of it all yet though.

Aristidoooozy of a Hand

There's really no lead up to this one. Let's just get right down to it:

William Skountzos opened with a raise to 3,200 from under-the-gun and was called by the player sitting to his immediate left before the action reached a player in the lowjack seat, who moved all in for roughly 19,000.

Action then reached Peter Aristidou who looked down at pocket kings and made it 50,000 to go, in an attempted isolation play. Skountzos then moved all in over the top of Aristidou's bet for a total of 114,000. The flat-caller got out of the way and the decision returned to Aristidou, who went into the tank.

A minute or so passed before he looked over at Skountzos and said, "Anyone else I would snap call, but you, I fold this," open-mucking his two red kings.

At the time, it proved to be a good move as Skountzos tabled {A-Hearts}{A-Diamonds} at the showdown and the lowjack player showed {A-Clubs}{10-Clubs}, but when the dealer spread the flop, the {K-Clubs} appeared in the window, followed by the {J-Diamonds} and {10-Diamonds}, which would've given Aristidou top set.

The turn and river then filled out {5-Hearts}, {9-Hearts} and thanks to Aristidou's fold, Skountzos took down the pot with a pair of aces to move to 190,000 in chips.

Aristidou was left with a still-manageable 110,000 after the fold.
