Three Barrels By Aldemir

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante

Koray Aldemir was the initial raiser and picked up a caller in the blinds. Aldemir fired three barrels on a board of {6-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{2-Spades}{a-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds} and the final one was worth 42,400, which represented the remainder of his stack. While his opponent tanked, it would be no threat for the German High Roller regular as the pot was pushed to him shortly after without any showdown.

Pekarek Peels Aces, Finds Good Action

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante

Jeremy Pekarek was all in preflop for 38,800 and he was up against two players with inferior pocket pairs. Mikita Badziakouski had Pekarek covered an he tabled {10-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} while the other player had the shortest stack as well as the worst starting hand: {9-Hearts}{9-Spades}.

Pekarek faded any bad card on the {k-Clubs}{7-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{4-Hearts} runout and took down the whole pot, improving to 110,000 or so. Badziakouski dropped to 45,000 and the other player left the tournament area.

Seidel Shows His Class to Best Carter

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante

On a {5-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}{2-Spades}{2-Diamonds} board, Erik Seidel checked out of the big blind and Simon Carter bet 9,000. Seidel called and checked the {j-Spades} river to Carter.

Carter bet 16,000 and after some more thought, Seidel called. Carter opened {a-Diamonds}{q-Spades} for ace-high and Seidel picked up the pot with {10-Clubs}{5-Clubs}

"Wow!" said Carter. "I thought I would make a five fold there! What would I have had to make it? 40?"

Seidel remained quiet as he raked in the pot.

"That's the difference between me and Eric," continued Carter. "I'm a five and he's a ten."

Kessler Doubles Once More

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante

Allen Kessler was all-in for the last 14,600 on the button and he was called by Maxwell Young in the big blind.

Allen Kessler: {a-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}
Maxwell Young: {10-Spades}{10-Diamonds}

Kessler got there on the {a-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{3-Spades} flop and even turned two pair with the {9-Spades}, the {k-Clubs} on the river came a blank.

"This one was easy, the other ones were more difficult," a player at the table chimed in.

Young jokingly asked in table chat "are you going to tweet about that one?"

Kessler remains around the starting stack while Young is one of the bigger stacks in the room with just over 200 players remaining.

Fabian Quoss
Fabian Quoss

The button opened and Fabian Quoss three-bet all in from the small blind. Phil Hui was all in from the big blind for 35,000 and the button folded.

Phil Hui: {7-Hearts}{7-Clubs}
Fabian Quoss: {q-Spades}{10-Spades}

The flop came {9-Spades}{j-Spades}{k-Spades}.

"Did you just flop a straight flush?" exclaimed Corey Kempson from the other end of the table. The turn {8-Spades} even extended Quoss to a six-card straight flush. The river was the {10-Hearts} and Hui was eliminated.

Seidel Busts Kamal

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante

It seemed a player to Erik Seidel's right had limped and Seidel raised to 5,500 from the hijack. Karim Kamal three-bet to 16,500 from the button and only Seidel called.

The flop fell {q-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{8-Hearts} and Seidel checked. Kamal pushed forward his remaining stack, around 30,000, and Seidel peeked at his hand before he casually threw in a calling chip. Kamal had {a-Hearts}{k-Diamonds} and Seidel was ahead with {k-Spades}{q-Clubs}.

The {2-Clubs} turn changed nothing and the {q-Spades} river confirmed Seidel's win.

2018 Main Event Champion Lewis Eliminated

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante
Toby Lewis
Toby Lewis

We noted Toby Lewis getting short at the beginning of the level, and unfortunately for the Brit he has recently been eliminated.

According to Mai Ha, Ha opened and Lewis three-bet all in for his last 12 big blinds with {j-Hearts}{q-Hearts}. Ha held {a-}{k-} and held on the "runout of bricks" to send the 2018 champion to the rail.

Loosli Doubles Through Zobian

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante
Sylvain Loosli
Sylvain Loosli

Kelvin Beattie and Mike Watson were spotted on their way out of the tournament area and they were nearly joined by Sylvain Loosli, however, the Frenchman secured a double through Aram Zobian.

Picking up the action on the {a-Clubs}{7-Spades}{3-Spades} flop with around 30,000 in the middle, Loosli was all-in with the {a-Spades}{k-Spades} and Zobian had the inferior flushdraw with {q-Spades}{j-Spades}. The {k-Clubs} turn gave Zobian some outs to a straight but Loosli further improved to a full house with the {k-Diamonds} river to double for 40,100.

Madsen Hits One-Outer To Scoop It All

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante
Jeff Madsen
Jeff Madsen

In a preflop three-bet pot, Jeff Madsen, Martin Zamani, and David Yan met in what would become one of the biggest collisions of the tournament so far.

With around 40,000 in the middle and {3-Spades}{2-Hearts}{j-Hearts} on the felt, Madsen bet 19,500 from the small blind. Zamani shoved for 54,400 from under the gun and Yan reraised all in from the cutoff. Madsen smiled, double-checked his hole cards, and then called for his 119,300, saying, "Alright."

Zamani: {k-Hearts}{q-Hearts}
Yan: {3-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}
Madsen: {a-Diamonds}{a-Spades}

"Just put a heart out, to make it easy," Zamani wished.

The {6-Spades} was a brick and Yan was closing on scoring a double knockout.

But the {a-Clubs} hit the river and suddenly it was Madsen who got all rights to claim the monster pot, without having to share any piece of it. Zamani was eliminated and Yan, who was close to getting to one of the top chip counts in the room, dropped to 36,000 instead.
