A on the river gave Assadourian the pot with his two pair and he quipped "Come up and play in Sydney anytime" as his opponent headed home. After an eventful hour post-dinner, Assadourian is now back to 34,000 in chips.
A short stacked Yevgeniy Timoshenko got the last of his chips into the middle holding but found himself up against the of his opponent. Amazingly the board landed to give Timoshenko quads as he doubles up to 9,500 in chips!
Brandon Schaefer has just been eliminated losing a coinflip with his A-K up against his opponent's pocket jacks. A third jack on the flop was enough to send Schaefer to the rail.
A relocated Tino Lechich took one at his new table and noticed all the young guns and Internet pros at his table and said "What's this? You've put me on the kiddie table?!?"
With the board reading and already 7,000 in the pot, Eric Assadourian leads out with a bet of 6,000 on the river. His opponent, Brandon Cantu in the cutoff goes into the tank with a huge decision.
Assadourian quips "I promise you one thing, I don't have a king" as he casually banters with other players at the table.
Eventually Cantu makes the call and shows pocket eights! Amazingly they are good as Assadourian shows for nothing but air!
Following the dinner break Assadourian has doubled up two other players including Sarah Bilney and is now down to 24,000 in chips.
There are 52 players remaining in the tournament at the dinner break. The average chip stack is currently 15,173. Play will recommence at approximately 7:20 p.m. local time. We'll see you back then!
