2012 PokerStars.com EPT Barcelona
In case you missed it, yesterday Dan Smith continued his outstanding year on the felt with a win in the €50,000 Super High Roller event. Smith took home €962,925 and upped his 2012 live tournament earnings to $3,357,442. You can relive the Live Reporting blog from the event here or read the recap here.
- Lucille Cailly played a hand aggressively and managed to fold out one pre flop and one on the turn. Toby Lewis opened to 700 from early position before Cailly three-bet to 2,000 from the next seat. Terje Augdal called from the button but Lewis made a considered looking fold. Cailly continued for 2,000 on the

flop and 3,900 on the
turn. Augdal folded to the second bet. - On the secondary feature table Lars Garp managed to manoeuvre Salvatore Bonavena off a hand on the river. The Team PokerStars Pro raised to 700 from the cut-off and bet 1,200 on the

flop. Garp called from the small blind and check-called the c-bet. Both checked the
turn and Garp led for 2,300 on the
river. Fold. - Daniel Negreanu was hot and bothered at his first table, and he's even more so now. Some ice wrapped in napkins is helping cool his brow under the secondary feature lights.

The Main Event doesn't seem to treat Dan Smith as well as the 50K Super High Roller as he keeps going down in the chip counts. Smith just lost another hand after calling for 700 preflop and going heads up against Francesc Xavier Guixeras Giner from Spain.
The dealer burned and turned
for a flush draw and Smith lead for 1,600 and Giner check-called. Both checked the
on the turn as well as
on the river.
Smith showed
for a pair of nines and Giner flipped
for a higher pair and collected the pot.
