Ketzer Drags One

Level 3 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

Felipe Ketzer raised 3,500 in middle position, and Timothy Adams called in the cutoff.

When the 983 flop hit the felt, Ketzer check-called a bet of 3,000.

The A hit the turn, and Ketzer led for 4,000. Adams called.

The 9 paired the board on the river, and after a short pause, Ketzer checked. Adams checked back before Ketzer tabled A8. Adams sent his cards into the muck as the dealer pushed the pot to Ketzer.

Yan Gets Paid on the River; O'Dwyer Shoves

Level 3 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

Timothy Adams raised to 3,500 from under the gun and received calls by David Yan in the cutoff and big blind Jean-Noel Thorel.

The flop came Q210 and Adams continued for 4,000. Both opponents called and the A fell on the turn.

Action then checked to Yan who bet 16,500, with only Thorel calling to the 3 river. Yan then bet another 25,000 and Thorel quickly called. Yan turned over AQ for two pair and Thorel mucked.

A hand earlier, Kayhan Mokri had opened to 3,500 from early position before Steve O'Dwyer in the cutoff became the first player today to utter the phrase "all in," moving his last 25,000 in the middle. Mokri quickly folded.

Thorel Flops Trips

Level 3 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

Jean-Noel Thorel raised 3,500 in the cutoff, and Kayhan Mokri called in the small blind, as did Alejandro Lococo in the big blind.

The dealer fanned a flop of K55, and all three players checked to see the 10 turn.

Mokri checked before Lococo fired a bet of 6,000 and only Thorel made the call.

The 9 completed the board, and Lococo check-called a bet of 7,000. Thorel tossed his 54 on its back showing flopped trip fives, and Lococo pitched his cards into the muck.

Adams Gets a Fold to Earn Another Boost

Level 3 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

Timothy Adams came back from break on a short stack but has won the first two significant pots to earn a much-needed boost.

Adams raised to 3,500 from under the gun and was called by Sam Grafton on the button, as well as Jean-Noel Thorel in the big blind.

All three players checked the 74J flop and the Q fell on the turn. Adams this time fired out 8,500 and only Grafton called.

The river came the 3 and Adams led out for another 23,000. Grafton quickly gave up his hand.

The 10 turn was checked through to see the A on the river. Adams checked once more before Mokri bet 11,500. Adams took his time before eventually making the call. Mokri tabled 76, and Adams took down the pot with K8.

Level 2 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

On the latest PokerNews Podcast, Chad Holloway, Connor Richards, and Matt Hansen come to you from different parts of the world. Chad is back home in Wisconsin, while Connor and Matt are over at the EPT Barcelona. They discuss Daniel Weinman's signing with Poker Royalty, Zach Gruneberg's cat missing for 43 days, and the largest WPT Prime to date. Thorel Gets Paid on the River

Level 2 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Alejandro Lococo raised to 2,500 under the gun and was called by Sam Grafton in the hijack and Jean-Noel Thorel on the button. "This looks like a fun party to join," Kayhan Mokri said as he also called from the big blind.

The flop came 546 and Mokri led out for 4,000. Only Lococo and Thorel called as Grafton got out of the way.

Mokri bet another 8,000 on the 2 turn and Lococo called. Thorel then raised to 20,000 and Mokri snap-mucked, but Lococo stuck around to see the A river.

Thorel fired out another 25,000 and Lococo called, only to muck when Thorel showed him A6 for two pair.
