Level 28 : Blinds 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

Peter Jorge opened the action with an under-the-gun raise to 160,000 and Fabrice Bigot was the only caller in the big blind. The flop brought {10-Spades}{8-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} after which Bigot opted to check-call a bet of 175,000.

Jorgne Fires Big Against Spekman

Level 28 : Blinds 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

Following a raise to 160,000 by Mehdi Chaoui in the cutoff and a call by Peter Jorgne in the small blind, Denzel Spekman three-bet to 550,000 in the big blind.

Chaoui folded, but Jorgne stuck around to see a flop of {q-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{6-Spades} which he checked. Spekman then checked as well.

On the {7-Spades} turn, business picked up again with Jorgne now leading for 700,000, which Spekman called.

The river was the {a-Hearts} and Jorgne kept firing, this time to the tune of 800,000.

Spekman didn't take long before folding to send the healthy pot to his neighbor to his right.

Fabrice Bigot

The action started with a raise to 160,000 by Saar Wilf in the cutoff. Fabrice Bigot in the small blind then three-bet to 550,000 for a quarter of his stack and it folded back to Wilf, who announced all-in. Fabrice Bigot: {k-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}
Saar Wilf: {a-Clubs}{j-Hearts}

The {6-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{8-Clubs} runout was no threat for Bigot, who doubled for 2,110,000 and reduced the stack of Wilf to just under 15 blinds.

Niklas Astedt Eliminated in 12th Place (€71,150)

Level 28 : Blinds 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante
Niklas Åstedt
Niklas Åstedt

After Denzel Spekman raised to 160,000 in the cutoff, Niklas Astedt put in his last 190,000 total, 160,000 of which was already accounted for in the big blind and the ante.

After he put his last 30,000 in, Astedt called for a deuce as he revealed his hand.

Niklas Astedt: {4-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}
Denzel Spekman: {q-Clubs}{j-Clubs}

The dealer co-operated with Astedt's request, spreading a flop of {a-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{2-Spades}, indeed pairing Astedt's deuce.

The {3-Diamonds} on the turn had the Swedish star primed for a critical double-up, but the {j-Diamonds} on the river spiked Spekman, giving him the win and eliminating the online superstar in 12th place.

Spekman Double Leaves Astedt on Fumes

Level 28 : Blinds 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante
Denzel Spekman
Denzel Spekman

Over on the outer table, Peter Jorgne and Saar Wilf claimed the blinds and big blind ante with successful open raises.

The third raise in a row came from Niklas Astedt as he made it 160,000 to go. Denzel Spekman in the small blind three-bet to 550,000 and it folded back to Astedt, who clicked it back to 1,150,000. Spekman then five-bet all-in and Astedt snap-called.

Denzel Spekman: {j-Diamonds}{j-Spades}
Niklas Astedt: {k-Diamonds}{k-Spades}

With both players holding near even stack sizes, it would be a crucial showdown on the outer tables and Astedt had the best of it. That, however, changed on the {j-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{9-Diamonds} flop as Spekman improved to jacks full.

Now it was Astedt with just two outs, which he missed on the {5-Hearts} turn and {3-Spades} river. Both stacks were counted as Spekman doubled for 2,600,000, leaving Astedt on just over two blinds.
