Rodriguez Gets One Through

Level 19 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Arturo Rodriguez raised to 22,000 from middle position and Yuri Maron three-bet the small blind to 60,000. Rodriguez came along with a call.

Maron knuckled it over to Rodriguez on the A3K flop, and Rodriguez bet 75,000. Maron folded, showing JJ as he did.

Rodriguez was about to slide his cards face down to the dealer, but noticed the cameras and media were on him. He quickly changed his mind and windmilled 99 across the table, showing Maron that he had folded the better pair.

Zheng Puts Ten Cate in Tough Spot

Level 19 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

A blind-on-blind battle had created a pot of 300,000 when Xiaosheng Zheng checked the K2J59 river to Jonas ten Cate. Ten Cate added 170,000 to the pot with a bet, only to be raised to 525,000 by Zheng.

Ten Cate tanked for several minutes before he decided to fold, conceding the pot to Zheng.

"Don't show me a bluff," Ten Cate said to Zheng as he raked in the chips, and Zheng obliged by returning his cards face down.

Another Big Pot Heads to Toderita

Level 19 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Stefan Toderita
Stefan Toderita

With around 130,000 in the pot, Alexander Ivarsson checked from early position on the 9K84 board and Alexandru Toderita bet 35,000 from the button. Ivarsson check-raised to around 175,000, which Toderita called.

The board-pairing 4 came on the river and Ivarsson checked. Toderita used a time bank before carving out a bet of 225,000. Ivarsson called pretty quickly and was shown 88 by Toderita for a full house.

Ivarsson mucked, and Toderita increased his stack even further.

Unfavorable River for Rizov

Level 19 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Miroslav Rizov
Miroslav Rizov

Miroslav Rizov raised to 20,000 on the button, which both Barbara Akemi and Alexandru Toderita called in the blinds.

When the action checked to Rizov on an 8A4 flop, he continued for 25,000. Akemi folded, but Toderita called. It was the same sequence on the 3 turn, as Toderita check-called a bet by Rizov, this time for a more substantial 110,000.

The board was completed by the 5, and Toderita switched tactics, this time leading out for 120,000. Rizov didn't hesitate to call, but was shown bad news. Toderita tabled A2 for a rivered wheel straight, and a frustrated Rizov flipped over 88, showing that his flopped set had been run down.

The 23A flop was safe for Calio, but the K turn left him drawing to just one out. It wasn't to be for Calio, as the 6 completed the board, and his stack was shipped across to Zheng.

No Way Back for Ahuja

Level 19 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Ankit Ahuja
Ankit Ahuja

Ankit Ahuja raised to 20,000 from early position, and Eduardo Kalil defended his big blind.

Kalil checked in flow on the 6Q4 flop, and Ahuja bet 12,000. Kalil check-raised to 48,000 before facing a three-bet from Ahuja to 110,000. Kalil responded with a four-bet all-in, and Ahuja snap-called.

Ahuja had the lower of the two stacks with roughly 500,000, and as such, was the player at risk.

Ankit Ahuja: AQ All in
Eduardo Kalil: 64

Kalil had flopped best with two pair, and when Ahuja found no relief on either the K turn or 5 river, his Main Event run came to an end.
