2026 PokerStars EPT Paris
Elias Suhonen raised to 5,000 in early position and Alessio Bisci, who owns a pizza restaurant back home and whom tablemate Mitch Garshofsky has nicknamed "Pizza Man," called in middle position. Julien Mariani in the hijack and Garshofsky in the small blind also called, but Dimitar Danchev then moved all in for 55,000 in the big blind. Suhohen reshoved to chase out the rest of the table.
Dimitar Danchev: K♠10♠
Elias Suhonen: A♣Q♦
Danchev took the lead on the J♠10♣4♦ flop with a pair, while the 6♠ turn also gave him a flush draw. The river, though, brought the Q♣ to give Suhohen a pair of queens and send the EPT champion to the rail.
Felix Schneiders raised to 5,000 in early position. Luis Faria upped the ante to 16,000 in the hijack, and Schneiders obliged with a call.
Faria continued with a small bet of 4,500 on the 7♥9♥10♥ flop, which Schneiders check-raised to 15,000. Faria put in a quick call, but he instantly folded when Schneiders sized up to 32,500 on the 7♣ turn.
Carlos Ribeiro raised to 5,000 under the gun before Renato Minicuci three-bet to 13,000 in the cutoff. Raffaele Bellapianta called in the small blind, while Ribeiro also stuck around and called.
The flop came J♥2♠7♠ and Minicuci bet 12,000. Bellapianta called, but Ribeiro then raised to 32,000. Minicuci got out of the way, and Bellapianta took a few minutes before announcing all-in. Ribeiro quickly called for 66,500.
Carlos Ribeiro: A♠5♠
Raffaele Bellapianta: Q♥Q♣
Bellapianta was ahead with his queens, but the K♠ turn gave Ribeiro the nut flush. The river was the 3♠ and he doubled up.
"Why didn't you four-bet?" Minicuci asked Bellapianta, who was in no mood to discuss the hand and remained silent.
At another table, Mario Colavita had opened to 6,000 on the button, Juan Baraza shoved for 23,000 in the small blind, and Colavita called.
Juan Baraza: K♥10♥
Mario Colavita: A♣4♦
Colavita hit two pair on the A♥4♥J♣ flop, while Baraza picked up straight and flush draws. The 7♠ turn was no help, while the river was the 5♣ and Colavita held on to send Baraza to the rail.
The action was caught on the 5♣3♣7♠Q♦5♥ river. Gabriel Nahum had checked from the big blind to Tsugunari Toma in the hijack, who had pushed a bet of 75,000 into the pot of 120,000.
Nahum was deep into the tank, thinking things through for several minutes. Eventually, he tossed in a single chip to signal a call.
Toma turned over 6♥4♥ for the flopped straight. Nahum shook his head and took a final look at his cards before adding them to the muck in defeat.
Lucas Scafini raised to 5,000 in early position and Mahersh Selvakumaran called on the button. Joe Mouawad then three-bet to 22,500 in the big blind, and both opponents called.
The flop came 8♥5♠6♦ and Mouawad checked to Scafini, who bet 21,000. Selvakumaran called, while Mouawad got out of the way.
The Q♥ fell on the turn and Scafini bet another 44,000. Selvakumaran again called, and the 10♦ came on the river. Both players then quickly checked, and Scafini showed A♥K♠. Selvakumaran, though, turned over 7♥7♣ to win the pot.
"I decided to change my strategy," Selvakumaran said as he raked in the pot.

Under the gun, Francis Plegat checked the 2♠6♣3♠ flop over to Andrii Mykhailov, who fired a bet of 4,000. Plegat pushed in a raise to 12,000, which Mykhailov quickly called.
The 4♠ turn was checked by both players, but Plegat picked the aggression back up on the Q♦ river with a bet of 16,000.
Mykhailov counted his remaining stack before he committed over half of it for a call. Plegat tabled A♣Q♥ for a rivered pair, which took the pot when Mykhailov added his cards to the muck.
