Machon Loses a Flip

Level 7 : 400/800, 100 ante

The player in under the gun raised to 1,600 and picked up two callers in Rui Neves Ferreira from one seat over and short stack Jan Subik on the button. Bartlomiej Machon shoved for 16,200 in the big blind and the initial raiser folded. Neves Ferreira reshoved all in to force out Subik and the cards were tabled.

Bartlomiej Machon: {A-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}
Rui Neves Ferreira: {9-Hearts}{9-Spades}

"Don't look guys," Anthony Zinno said before the board ran out {7-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{6-Spades}{10-Hearts}. Machon was eliminated on his first bullet and still has the option to re-enter until the start of level 11.

Sam Grafton Eliminated

Level 7 : 400/800, 100 ante
Sam Grafton
Sam Grafton

Sam Grafton's post-dinner attempt to make a comeback lasted no longer than one hand. Down to 2,900, Grafton stuck it in from the cutoff with {K-Hearts}{8-Hearts}. Ihar Soika made it 5,200 from the small blind to get it heads-up with {A-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} and held up on a {2-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{A-Clubs}{10-Clubs} rundown.

"samsquid" has up until the start of Day 2 to reenter if he does so desire.

Thomas with a Stack

Level 7 : 400/800, 100 ante

Nothing much has gone in favor of Julian Thomas at the tables here in Prague just yet, but he managed to climb back above starting stack. As per Thomas the hand that helped him there was a classic aces versus kings setup, in which both him and Thomas Muehloecker flopped their set before they got it in after the turn.

Markus Durnegger remains among the big stacks despite losing a small pot to Paolo Compagno in a battle of the blinds. Compagno limped in and called a raise to 3,000 by the Austrian. On the {J-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} flop, Compagno check-called a bet of 2,000 and the {3-Diamonds} turn was checked through. Compagno's bet of 3,100 on the {10-Spades} river was called and the Italian showed {J-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} for top pair as winning hand.

Jean-Noel Thorel raised and called a three-bet to 6,300 by Orpen Kisacikoglu in the big blind. The {9-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{3-Clubs} flop and {9-Clubs} turn were checked and Kisacikoglu check-folded the {Q-Hearts} river to a bet of 6,300.

Another Setback for Fatehi

Level 7 : 400/800, 100 ante

With some 20,000 in the middle and the turn showing {10-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{9-Spades}, Ali Reza Fatehi check-raised to 25,000 and called the shove of table neighbor Kacper Pyzara for 63,600.

Kacper Pyzara: {9-Hearts}{8-Hearts}
Ali Reza Fatehi: {Q-Spades}{10-Diamonds}

The {A-Diamonds} river brought no help to Fatehi and he had to forfeit a decent chunk of his big stack once again.
