Seymour Falls with Kings

Level 18 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Richard Seymour was all-in for his tournament life against Justin Saliba as the cards were turned up.

Richard Seymour: {k-Spades}{k-Diamonds}
Justin Saliba: {a-Spades}{j-Hearts}

Seymour's pocket kings remained ahead after the {q-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} flop and the {6-Spades} turn. Saliba then spiked the {a-Clubs} river, ending Seymour's PSPC run in 155th place ($35,100).

Garagnani Takes Out Two

Level 18 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
Pedro Garagnani
Pedro Garagnani

Justin Zaki moved all-in from middle position for 33,000 only to see Pedro Garagnani shove his stack on the button. Platinum Pass winner Marius Irimia then put his last big blind in the middle and the hands were turned up.

Marius Irimia: {10-Hearts}{7-Clubs}
Justin Zaki: {k-Hearts}{j-Clubs}
Pedro Garagnani: {k-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}

Irimia picked up a straight draw on the {6-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{4-Spades} flop before Garagnani hit the {q-Clubs} turn to make top pair. The {j-Spades} river left Garagnani with the best hand, knocking out both Irimia and Zaki with a min cash.

Shylko Takes Advantage of a Scary River

Level 18 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

On a flop of {k-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{6-Clubs}, Matthias Auer was already all in from the big blind with action pending in a side pot. Joris Ruijs bet 18,000 from the cutoff and Aliaksandr Shylko called on the button.

The turn brought the {8-Diamonds} and Ruijs sized up a bet of 80,000. Shylko still called and the {a-Diamonds} completed the board. Ruijs checked this time and Shylko reached back for a bet of 230,000.

"I'm gonna fold a king and a ten," Ruijs said as he ditched his cards to the muck. Shylko was awarded the side pot and tabled {9-Hearts}{9-Clubs} for the main pot. Auer was unable to beat it, giving Shylko the main pot as well.

Silva Doubles Through Tran

Level 18 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Lucas Silva's raise from under the gun found a call from Tony Tran in the big blind.

The {q-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} flop saw both players get their chips into the middle, with Silva at risk.

Lucas Silva: {q-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}
Tony Tran: {q-Hearts}{8-Hearts}

Both players revealed a pair of queens, with Silva's kicker in front. The {9-Diamonds} turn and {5-Clubs} river kept Silva ahead for the double up through Tran.

Platinum Pass Winner Posadas Doubles to Avoid Bubble Chop

Level 18 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Platinum Pass winner Miguel Posadas was forced all in for 8,000 from the big blind as action folded around to Ori Hasson, who only had to commit 2,000 more but still managed to hem and haw despite the excellent price.

"I don't want to bust you!" he groaned. "But I feel bad for everyone else if I fold."

Hasson called but it still took several minutes for the cards to be flipped. Before they were, Mauricio Ferreira Pais was eliminated on a nearby table to guarantee that Posadas would at least be chopping a min-cash.

Miguel Posadas: {k-Clubs}{4-Clubs}
Ori Hasson: {4-Diamonds}{3-Spades}

The flop landed {j-Clubs}{k-Spades}{10-Hearts} to have Hasson drawing nearly dead, but the {3-Hearts} turn got the table roaring as there was the possibility of a brutal suck-out. But Posadas held for the double as the {a-Diamonds} river peeled off and others at the table cheered for his good fortune as they all reached the money.

Mauricio Ferreira Pais Bubbles PSPC

Level 18 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
Bubble Boy Mauricio Ferreira Pais

Mauricio Ferreira Pais had the all-in triangle in front of him as he was forced all-in from the big blind. Action folded to Omar Del Pino, in the cutoff, and he made it 25,000. The remaining active players folded to set up the all-in showdown.

Mauricio Ferreira Pais: {j-Hearts}{5-Hearts}
Omar Del Pino: {q-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}

Ferreira Pais was in bad shape and would need a miracle following the {k-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}{6-Diamonds} flop. Del Pino then filled up on the {q-Spades} turn to lock up the hand. The {10-Diamonds} river completed the board and confirmed Ferreira Pais as the unfortunate bubble boy.

The $50,000 PCA Single Day High Roller was won by New Zealand's David Yan earlier this week. This 6-Max tournament attracted a star-studded High Roller cast, with Yan agreeing a heads-up deal with Orpen Kisacikoglu.

Yan banked $485,690 for this victory, after 14 hours of play, and told PokerNews that his victory was down to running "insane"

“I’m pretty grateful for the experience" Yan told PokerNews after his victory. "When you play such a little amount, it’s just basically anything can happen. Today I just ran insane, the field was one of the tougher ones we’ve seen".
