Cooke Finally Busted, On the Bubble, Final 42 on to Day 2

Gerard Cooke was all-in for just an ante several hands ago. He laddered up 4 eliminations and doubled, tripled, and quadrupled up to stave off elimination.

Finally, on the direct Day 2 bubble, his tournament life ran out.

Cooke was all-in preflop for just over a big blind and was put at risk by Trevor Delaney.

Cooke: {9-Clubs}{8-Hearts}
Delaney: {a-Clubs}{6-Spades}

A crazy run out of cards began. First, the flop came {a-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}, giving Cooke two pair. The turn was the {a-Hearts} though which gave control back to Delaney. Just to give a little more drama on the river, the {8-Spades} dropped, giving both players a full house, but Delaney's was best and Cooke was the last elimination of Day 1k.
