Yokosawa Gets Tricky with Aces

Level 13 : Blinds 10,000/15,000, 15,000 ante
Masato Yokosawa
Masato Yokosawa

Masato Yokosawa raised to 30,000 from under the gun, but when it folded to Ramin Hajiyev in early position, he three-bet to 90,000. It folded back to Yokosawa and he made the call.

After the JJ5 flop, Yokosawa check-called a bet of 60,000 from Hajiyev.

The turn brought the 9 and once Yokosawa checked, Hajiyev moved all in for his stack of 355,000, and Yokosawa quickly made the call.

Ramin Hajiyev: AK All in
Masato Yokosawa: AA

Hajiyev was drawing dead after Yokosawa slow-played his aces, and he was officially sent to the rail after the 9 on the river.

Brandon Wilson opened to 30,000 from under the gun but folded when Thomas Santerne three-bet to 80,000 from middle position.

On the next deal, Santerne made it 30,000 before Aleksejs Ponakovs reraised to 85,000. Santerne responded with a four-bet to 155,000 and folded out Ponakovs.

Nice Pot for Kempson

Level 13 : 10,000/15,000, 15,000 ante

Gabriel Tavares opened to 30,000 from the hijack and was called by Andras Nemeth from the cutoff. Corey Kempson three-bet to 125,000 from the button and both opponents called.

Kempson picked up the pot, folding out Tavares and Nemeth with a bet of 110,000 on the K62 flop.

Tavares Makes Trips on the River

Level 13 : Blinds 10,000/15,000, 15,000 ante

Gabriel Tavares opened the action on the button with a raise to 30,000 and was called by the big blind Corey Kempson.

After the 410J flop, Kempson check-called a bet of 55,000 from Tavares.

Both players checked after the 2 on the turn, to see the 10 on the river. Kempson then bet out 55,000, and Tavares raised to 325,000. Kempson made the call, but saw the bad news as Tavares made trips to take the pot with K10.

Negreanu Short

Level 13 : Blinds 10,000/15,000, 15,000 ante

Daniel Negreanu opened to 30,000 from middle position, with Roman Hrabec calling on the button and Mikita Badziakouski coming along from the big blind.

Negreanu fired 30,000 on the JJ3 flop, and only Hrabec stuck around. The 5 turn was checked around before Negreanu bet 100,000 on the K river. Hrabec made the call.

"Ace-queen," Negreanu announced with an upward lilt, but his expression tightened when Hrabec revealed the winner with KQ.

More Eliminations

Level 13 : Blinds 10,000/15,000, 15,000 ante

No Action for Negreanu's Aces

Level 13 : Blinds 10,000/15,000, 15,000 ante

Orpen Kisacikoglu opened to 30,000 from the button before Daniel Negreanu made it 90,000 from the small blind. Eelis Parssinen, in the big blind, got out of the way and Kisacikoglu quickly followed suit.

"Was this approved?" asked Negreanu, who flashed AA. "Does that keep my image tight?" he laughed as the small pot was pushed his way.

Jacks Hold for Schulman

Level 13 : Blinds 10,000/15,000, 15,000 ante

Nick Schulman raised to 35,000 from middle position, which was called by Thomas Boivin in the hijack, and the big blind Tom Vogelsang.

The flop came 936, and Vogelsang led out, going all in for 105,000. Schulman than raised to put Boivin all in, but he quickly folded to leave the players heads up.

Tom Vogelsang: 83 All in
Nick Schulman: JJ

Vogelsang, who was short-stacked, flopped a pair and went with his hand, but needed help to beat Schulman's jacks. The board ran out 44 to give the pot to Schulman and eliminate Vogelsang.

Tang's Fourth Bullet Comes to an End

Level 13 : 10,000/15,000, 15,000 ante

Danny Tang fired four bullets into the Triton Main Event, meaning he needed to finish at least ninth to turn a profit. He looked to put himself in a stronger position after jamming his below-average stack from the big blind over a 30,000 raise from John Pannucci on the button. Unfortunately for Tang, he was snap-called.

Danny Tang: A5All in
John Pannucci: AJ

Tang was dominated but had some chop outs after the KK7 flop. The 10 turn and 9 river, however, locked it up for Pannucci and sent Tang to the rail.

Hajiyev Rivers Borovkov

Level 13 : Blinds 10,000/15,000, 15,000 ante

Alexey Borovkov opened to 30,000 second to act before Ramin Hajiyev three-bet to 130,000 from the small blind. Borovkov four-bet jammed for 365,000 and after some thought, Hajiyev called.

Alexey Borovkov: 1010All in
Ramin Hajiyev: AQ

It was a classic flip, and one that Borovkov remained ahead in after the J72 flop and J turn. However, the Q river gave Hajiyev the checkmark, and he eclipsed the 1,000,000-chip mark.
