Bennett Gets a Fold

Level 9 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante

The player in early position raised to 3,500 and Jon Bennett three-bet to 10,000 on the button. Action folded back to the player in early position who stuck around with a call.

The flop fell {7-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{2-Spades} and the player in early position check-called a bet of 7,000 from Bennett. The dealer burned and turned the {4-Diamonds} that was checked through to the {4-Spades} river. The player in early position checked again and Bennett fired 15,500. His opponent tank-folded.

Pritchett vs. Guerrera

Level 9 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante

The flop was down {k-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}, and Tony Guerrera checked from the small blind. Paul Pritchett bet 5,600 and Guerrera before the {j-Spades} hit the turn.

Guerrera then check-called a 5,800 bet from Pritchett and the {7-Spades} peeled off on the river.

Guerrera checked for the third and final time and was put to the test by Pritchett who bet 20,000.

With just 20,000 behind, Guerrera faced a test for his tournament life but took only seconds to decide and passed his cards to the dealer.

Pritchett pulled in the pot and moved up to 380,000.

Shack Turns A Miracle

Level 9 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante

Andrew Shack opened for 3,400 under the gun and Andrea Benelli three-bet to 9,000 from late position. Action folded back to Shack who called.

The flop fell {q-Clubs}{k-Spades}{a-Spades} and Shack instantly jammed his remaining stack of 111,000 in the middle and was snapped off by Benelli.

Andrew Shack: {a-Hearts}{k-Clubs}
Andrea Benelli: {k-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}

Both players hit the flop extremely well but the case king gave Benelli a set while Shack was behind with top-two pair until the dealer peeled off the {a-Clubs} on the turn giving both players a full house but Shack held the better hand with aces full.

The dealer would throw down the meaningless {7-Hearts} on the river and Shack raked in the pot.
