Song Takes Down Pot on River

Level 8 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

There was at least 40,000 in a pot between Andrew Song, who was on the button, and his opponent in the big blind. The board read {3-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{5-Hearts} and the big blind had checked.

Song announced he was all in, pushing forward his stack for what was effectively his opponent's final 43,000. After some time, Song got a fold and took down the pot without a showdown.

Lee Almost Drawing Dead Preflop

Level 8 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Alexandre Sako got his money in the middle and he put Stanley Lee at risk. A third player was still thinking of calling but he open folded {7-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}. Lee threw his hands in the air when he tabled {7-Spades}{7-Hearts} and he was looking for some connectivity on the board against the {j-Spades}{j-Diamonds} of Sako.

The board ran out with the {10-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{4-Clubs} and Lee was still looking for runner-runner outs. The turn was the {5-Diamonds} and that meant it was all over for him. The {k-Diamonds} river was dealt as a courtesy and Lee was out of the tournament area within seconds.

Michael Noori was just seen with a stack of around 322,000, up from the quarter-million mark he previously eclipsed. When asked if there were any pots of note, he said that he had recently flopped a full house with {4-}{9-} on a {4-}{4-Hearts}{9-Hearts} flop out of the big blind in a limped pot.

The small blind bet 2,500 on the flop and Noori raised to 8,000. He was called, bringing the turn {q-}. After being checked to, he bet 8,000 and was called again.

The river came an offsuit {2-} and the player check-called one last bet of 35,000 from Noori. After Noori tabled his full house, his opponent flashed the case {4-} before mucking his no-good trips.

Ved Wins a Monster

Level 8 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

A player got his last 140,000 in on a {3-Clubs}{q-Spades}{j-Spades} flop, and Kartik Ved had him at risk.

Opponent: {j-Hearts}{j-Clubs}
Kartik Ved: {9-Spades}{8-Spades}

Both players had flopped monster hands, but Ved improved to a flush on the {k-Spades} turn, leaving his opponent looking for the board to pair to survive. He was left wanting after the {6-Diamonds} fell on the river, and Ved scooped in the massive pot.

Kwon Gets a Fold

Level 8 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Yo Kwon raised to 3,000 from early position and the player in middle position called along with the small blind.

The flop was {9-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} and the small blind checked. Kwon bet 5,000 and the player in middle position called. The small blind folded.

The dealer burned and turned the {3-Clubs} and both players checked it to the {q-Spades} river. Kwon threw in a bet of 7,500 and his opponent gave it some thought but opted to let it go.
