Lootsma Hits the Jackpot

Level 11 : 1,200/2,400, 2,400 ante

Werner Lootsma opened and got one call before a third player three-bet all in for 27,500. Lootsma called and the second player folded.

Werner Lootsma: {k-Hearts}{k-Spades}
All-in Player: {5-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}

There was a king in the window, and that was swiftly followed by another on the {k-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{j-Spades} runout with Lootsma's quads sending a player to the rail.

Decisions, Decisions

Level 11 : 1,200/2,400, 2,400 ante

Thomas Popov opened to 5,100 and Olivier Chaume three-bet to 14,000. Popov called. The flop came {3-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{10-Clubs} and Popov check-called 10,000.

The turn was the {a-Clubs} and both players checked. The river was the {3-Spades} and it checked to Chaume once more. He bet 22,000 and Popov tanked for a good couple of minutes before eventually folding.

Kornechuk Makes Good Call

Level 11 : 1,200/2,400, 2,400 ante

On a turn reading {8-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{5-Spades}, Paul Miler led out 50,000 from the small blind, getting a fold from Mathias Wessel in the big. Action stopped at Thomas Kornechuk who called from the hijack.

The {10-Spades} landed on the river and Miller announced a bet of 110,000. Kornechuk took two minutes to figure out his decision, knowing a potentially wrong call would have cost severe damage to his remaining stack.

Kornechuk, however, convinced himself to go for it and he slid forward calling chips.

"You got it," Miller said and Kornechuk showed {9-Clubs}{9-Hearts} to scoop the hefty pot.

Burns Falls in Three-Way All-in

Level 11 : 1,200/2,400, 2,400 ante

Australian high roller Kahle Burns was already on fumes with a stack of 14,800 before the hand started. From the hijack, he shoved all in and Scott Drober called from the cutoff. Eric Semel had 20,300 total and moved all in from the small blind as well. Drober paid the requisite extra chips off in swift fashion.

Kahle Burns: {j-Hearts}{10-Hearts}
Eric Semel: {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs}
Scott Drober: {k-Hearts}{10-Clubs}

Things were looking bleak for Burns from the start and after the {k-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{2-Spades} flop, he was all but drawing dead. The {j-Diamonds} on the turn provided him with a lifeline, but the {7-Diamonds} river ended it. He headed for the rail, while Semel tripled up at the expense of Burns and Drober.

Present Flops Two Pair

Level 11 : 1,200/2,400, 2,400 ante

Abdelhakim Zoufri raised to 5,100 from the cutoff and Randolph Present called in the small blind.

They both checked through the {8-Hearts}{q-Clubs}{q-Hearts} flop to the {6-Spades} on the turn. Present quickly check-called the 6,000 bet of Zoufri.

The river completed the board with the {j-Clubs} and they both quickly checked again. Present tabled {a-Clubs}{8-Spades} for the flopped two pair which was enough for Zoufri to muck his hand.

Baker Spikes River, Takes Pot From Hu

Level 11 : 1,200/2,400, 2,400 ante
David "ODB" Baker
David "ODB" Baker

Jeremy Kocher opened for 5,000 from late position and Qi Hu three-bet to 10,000 sitting directly to his left. Sitting from the cutoff, David "ODB" Baker called along with Kocher.

The flop came {10-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{a-Spades} and Kosher check-folded after Hu fired out 12,000 while Baker called.

The {5-Diamonds} turn and {q-Diamonds} were both checked and Hu tabled {6-Clubs}{6-Spades} but that was second-best as Baker {k-Spades}{q-Hearts} paired his queen on the river and raked in the pot.

Carnero and Kaplan Double

Level 11 : 1,200/2,400, 2,400 ante

Down to the last 23,100, Martin Carnero jammed with the {6-Hearts}{5-Hearts} and Corentin Briglia called with {k-Spades}{k-Clubs}. The board came {8-Spades}{7-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{9-Spades}{10-Hearts} and Carnero flopped a straight to double.

Jordan Kaplan also doubled. He had lost half of his stack early on and then got it in for 34,000 with {a-Hearts}{9-Spades} against the pocket eights of initial raiser Chad Power. Kaplan turned the nut flush on {q-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} to remain in contention.
