Kings for White

Level 5 : 300/600, 600 ante

Corbin White raised in middle position to 1,300 and two players called.

On the {a-Spades}{10-Spades}{4-Clubs} flop, White and the player on his left checked to the button, who bet 2,000. Only White called.

The {10-Clubs} hit the turn and both players checked to see the {j-Diamonds} on the river. Both players checked once again, and White tabled the {k-Spades}{k-Diamonds}. His opponent mucked and White raked in the pot.

Koh KO's Opponent

Level 5 : 300/600, 600 ante

The board read {7-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{8-Hearts}. Suk-Kyu Koh called the all in from his opponent and the cards were turned over.

Koh had the {k-Hearts}{5-Hearts} for the nut flush while his opponent had the {7-Hearts}{6-Hearts} smaller flush but was drawing to the straight flush, although one of his outs was held by Koh.

The river came close as the {4-Hearts} came off but it was not enough to save the at-risk player and Koh captured the massive pot.

No Call for Bohlman

Level 5 : 300/600, 600 ante

On the tail end of a pot with 12,000 in the middle, Scott Bohlman led the {a-Clubs}{k-Hearts}{5-Spades}{a-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} river for 15,000 in the hijack. He only faced the button anymore and his opponent eventually folded, exposing the {k-Spades} to everyone at the table.

Small Pot for Nguyen

Level 5 : 300/600, 600 ante

After a limp, Phuoc Nguyen raised on the button to 1,800 and both the big blind and the initial player called.

The flop brought {q-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{6-Spades} and it checked to Nguyen, who continued for 5,500. It was enough to make his opponents fold and grab the pot.

Chen Chips Back Up

Level 5 : 300/600, 600 ante

Pete Chen recalled a hand in which he was all in with pocket queens against kings and ace-queen, during which he spiked the last queen in the deck to survive.

He then opened to 1,200 and called a three-bet to 3,100 by the hijack. They checked the {10-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{5-Spades} flop and Chen bet the {j-Spades} turn for 7,000, which earned him the pot.

Grybas Out-Kicks Ievseieva

Level 5 : 300/600, 600 ante

A player in middle position raised to 2,200, Steven Grybas called next to act, and Mariia Ievseieva came along from the big blind.

The dealer fanned a flop of {j-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{9-Spades} and all three players checked.

On the {3-Clubs} turn, Ievseieva bet out 3,500 and only Grybas called.

The river was the {8-Spades} and they both quickly checked. Ievseieva tabled {k-Hearts}{10-Hearts} for a pair of tens kick-kicker and Grybas took down the pot with the ace-kicker when he tabled {a-Spades}{10-Spades}.

Gjerde Ousted After Miller Flopped the Nuts

Level 5 : 300/600, 600 ante
Thomas Gjerde
Thomas Gjerde

Thomas Gjerde raised to 1,600 from early position and was called by Rich Miller from late position.

The {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts}{10-Clubs} flop saw Gjerde continue for 2,000 and Miller called bringing the {8-Clubs} turn.

Gjerde check-called the 6,000 bet from Miller and the {6-Spades} completed the board on the river. Gjerde quickly jammed his remaining stack, roughly 8,000 and Miller snap-called.

Gjerde rolled over {a-Spades}{6-Hearts} for two-pair but it was way behind Miller who flopped the nuts holding {q-Hearts}{j-Hearts}, ending his Main Event.
