On a turn board reading {j-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{7-Clubs}, JJ Liu check-raised a bet and call of 4,500 from Melanie Weisner and Sam Grafton to 30,000. Only Weisner called to see a river card of the {6-Diamonds}.

Marchese Gets Paid With Nut Flush

Level 6 : 400/800, 800 ante

Action was picked up on the turn as the board read {6-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}. Tom Marchese bet 6,500 from the button, Rahul Jain called from the big blind.

The river came the {k-Diamonds}. Jain checked. Marchese made a large overbet of 34,000 into a pot of about 20,000, leaving himself with only 600 behind. Jain thought for a while as it was for the majority of his stack. After a few moments he called.

Marchese tabled the {a-Clubs}{4-Clubs} for the flopped nut flush to take in a large boost to his stack.

Lappin Chips Up Further

Level 6 : 400/800, 800 ante

David Lappin has chipped up further and now holds a six-figure stack. As recalled by the Irishman, he limp-called a raise with {k-Hearts}{j-Hearts} and check-called a bet worth 4,000 on a {10-}{9-}{8-} flop.

He checked behind the {4-Hearts} turn which brought a second flush draw and then bet the {q-Diamonds} river for 3,700. His opponent raised to 12,000 and Lappin reraised to 27,000 in order to get called by pocket jacks to claim the pot with the nut straight.

Fellow Irishman Dara O'Kearney has also opted to enter Day 2 and already boosted his stack after sitting down.

Francisco Fragoso was seen raking in a pot with the all-in button in front of him in a heads-up pot against Landen Lucas on a board reading {6-Spades}{5-Spades}{2-Hearts}{j-Spades}{7-Clubs}. Fragoso held the winner with {9-Diamonds}{7-Hearts} for a pair of sevens while Lucas had {a-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}.

At the same table, Kelly Minkin raised in the small blind and Evgeni Tourevski defended from the big blind.

Minkin continued with a bet of 1,500 on the flop of {9-Clubs}{k-Spades}{k-Hearts} and called when her opponent raised to 5,500. Minkin checked on the {q-Hearts} turn and Tourevski checked back.

Minkin led out with a bet of 11,000 when the {6-Spades} peeled off on the river and Tourevski went in the tank before folding.

Jared Griener
Jared Griener

Aneris Adomkevicius raised from the button and then called the 8,900 three-bet jam Jared Griener made from the big blind.

Jared Griener: {a-Spades}{5-Diamonds}
Aneris Adomkevicius: {a-Hearts}{10-Hearts}

Griener was dominated and the {6-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{q-Hearts} flop didn't change a thing.

Luckily for Griener, the dealer dropped the {5-Spades} on the turn to put him in the lead and the {6-Hearts} river secured his much-needed double.

With 14,000 in the pot and {7-Spades}{6-Clubs}{3-Spades} on the board, Grai Rasmechai checked and Reuben Hoang bet 75,000.

The turn was a {q-Hearts} and Hoang's ace-queen took the lead. The river was a brick {3-Clubs} and Rasmechai hit the rail early on Day 2.
