Abro Flops Joint, Busts Desilva

Level 24 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

Thissa Desilva open-shoved 525,000 in late position and Ronnie Abro called in the big blind after some thought.

Thissa Desilva: {a-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}
Ronnie Abro: {a-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}

Abro directly flopped the joint on a {k-Hearts}{q-Hearts}{j-Hearts} board and locked it up after the {2-Diamonds} turn and {q-Diamonds} river.

"Good game, brother," Abro said. "I almost folded," he added.

Lim Gets Rigby to Fold

Level 24 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante
Dragana Lim
Dragana Lim

Nicholas Rigby raised to 200,000 and called a three-bet to 525,000 from Dragana Lim.

Rigby checked on the {7-Hearts}{q-Clubs}{9-Hearts} flop and called when Lim bet 750,000. Rigby checked again on the {a-Clubs} turn and Lim bet 1,250,000. Rigby let his hand go.

The temporary defeat did nothing to drown out the chants of "Rigby! Rigby!" coming from the player's rail.

Chen Busts on River

Level 24 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante
Pete Chen
Pete Chen

Tonio Röder opened to 100,000 in early position and Pete Chen jammed in his stack of 555,000 from middle position. Action came back around to Röder who briefly thought about it and called.

Pete Chen: {a-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}
Tonio Röder: {10-Spades}{9-Spades}

Chen was ahead but Röder was very live. Chen took out his phone and started recording what he hoped would be a double-up on his path to a deeper run as the dealer fanned the {j-Hearts}{8-Spades}{2-Clubs} flop. Chen was still ahead but now needed to fade more outs.

The {6-Diamonds} came on the turn to change nothing, but the {q-Clubs} spiked the river to give Röder a straight, sending Chen to the payout desk and leaving him with a video he may not want to watch again.

Prager Wins Classic to Double Through Alafogiannis

Level 24 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

Chris Alafogiannis raised to 125,000 from late position and then called the 1,285,000 three-bet jam Josh Prager made from the button.

Josh Prager: {a-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}
Chris Alafogiannis: {j-Spades}{j-Diamonds}

It was another classic race and the {k-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}{q-Spades} flop gave Prager top two-pair while also giving Alafogiannis a Broadway draw.

Luckily for Prager, the {5-Clubs} fell on the turn and the {q-Clubs} paired the board on the river to secure his double-up.

Hudon Gets Paid with the Nuts

Level 24 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

The board read {6-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{k-Clubs} with around 1,000,000 in the middle already. Eliot Hudon checked to Olivier Rebello who bet 285,000. Hudon check-raised to 600,000 and Rebello called.

The river was the {j-Spades} and Hudon pushed all in for 740,000. Rebello asked for a count and then dipped into the tank for a few minutes. Stephen Gerber called the clock but the rest of the table agreed to let Rebello have some more time.

Rebello eventually made the call and Hudon turned over {a-Clubs}{q-Clubs} for the nut flush. Rebello showed his {a-Diamonds}{k-Spades} before his cards went into the muck.

A Double for Wong and a Double for Shoreman

Level 24 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

Joshua Field raised to 105,000 from the early position and Jose Wong three-bet jammed for 590,000 from the middle position. The action folded back to Field who snap-called.

Jose Wong: {k-Hearts}{k-Clubs}
Joshua Field: {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds}

The board ran out {4-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{7-Spades}{9-Hearts} for Wong to hold with the kings to double up with.

On the next hand, Thissa Desilva raised to 105,000 from the middle position and Jon Shoreman three-bet shoved for exactly 1,000,000. The action folded around again and Desilva snap-called.

Jon Shoreman: {10-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}
Thissa Desilva: {a-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}

The board ran out {q-Spades}{2-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{4-Clubs} for Shoreman to turn the set to stay alive and double up.

Holmes Wins One Off Chidwick

Level 24 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

George Holmes raised to 110,000 and called when Stephen Chidwick three-bet to 430,000.

Chidwick bet 350,000 on the flop reading {3-Spades}{k-Diamonds}{9-Spades} and Holmes check-raised to 1,080,000. Chidwick called.

The turn brought the {5-Spades} and Holmes moved all-in for just over 2,000,000. Chidwick laid it down.

Dowling Takes a Rough Beat

Level 24 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

Chris Dowling raised from the button and called the shove by Shai Arbel in the big blind for 1,115,000 in total.

Shai Arbel: {a-Hearts}{10-Spades}
Chris Dowling: {a-Spades}{k-Hearts}

Arbel was dominated and with one foot out of the door after the {k-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} flop. The {10-Hearts} turn gave him some hope and he indeed got there with the {10-Diamonds} river. Arbel vaulted out of his seat in disbelief and loudly said "what the fuck is wrong with this table? It is so broken, can we please break this table?"

Another player chimed in right after with the words "this is a bad table if you are a good player."

Cruz Spikes Ace on River and Doubles Through Halverson

Level 24 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante
Francis Cruz
Francis Cruz

A series of preflop raises saw Francis Cruz four-bet jam for 1,640,000 from the button only to have Mitchell Halverson snap-call from the small blind.

Francis Cruz: {a-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}
Mitchell Halverson: {10-Spades}{10-Diamonds}

It was a classic race with Cruz looking to connect with either of his two overs but neither came after the {6-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} flop hit the felt.

The {7-Diamonds} turn brought possible chop outs if a four or nine were to fall but luckily for Cruz, it was the {a-Spades} that completed the board on the river and kept his Main Event hopes alive.

Cowen Cracks Aces to Eliminate Armstrong

Level 24 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante
Robert Cowen
Robert Cowen

Stephen Song opened to 100,000 and Robert Cowen three-bet to 325,000. Nicholas Rigby flat-called and Benjamin Armstrong four-bet shoved for 1,170,000. Song folded and Cowen then jammed his stack of 1,390,000 and Rigby called for about a million more.

Benjamin Armstrong: {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds}
Robert Cowen: {j-Spades}{j-Clubs}
Nicholas Rigby: {3-Clubs}{2-Clubs}

Armstrong had aces while Cowen had jacks and Rigby was in the mix with the three-deuce. Armstrong's aces were still ahead after the flop of {9-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{6-Hearts} but the {j-Hearts} on the turn catapulted Cowen ahead. Cowen nearly tripled when the {7-Spades} peeled off on the river while Armstrong was eliminated.
