2023 World Series of Poker
Dean Hutchison three-bet to 23,000 from middle position and an opponent in early position called.
The flop came 3♣9♣3♦ and Hutchison continued for 16,000. His opponent called and the 10♥ fell on the turn.
The early-position player checked again, and Hutchison fired out 60,000. His opponents' cards instantly hit muck as Hutchison dragged in the pot.
Tablemate Sergio Torres asked to have a picture of him posing in front of his big stack before they went off on break. Vadim Rozin, who made a run to 12th place last year, is also at this table but coming back to a short stack.
On a heads-up completed board of 5♠2♠9♥Q♣J♣, Bjorn Bruns fired out a bet of 28,000 into the already-swelled pot of 45,000.
The action was then on Hyun Kim who went briefly into the tank before he set out the proper chips to make the call.
Bruns then flipped over K♥Q♥ for top pair and Kim looked at his hand one last time before he tossed it into the muck to award Bruns the substantial pot.
According to the table, Nana Sanechika opened and called a three-bet from Vadim Rozin seated in the small blind.
The dealer showed a flop 2♦Q♠9♦ and Rozin bet 17,000. Sanechika replied with a raise to 40,000 and after some thinking, Rozin folded his hand.
Action was joined on the 8♣2♦2♣ flop with the player in the big blind moving all in.
"How much?" asked Raja Chirumamilla from the cutoff. The dealer confirmed the bet of 57,500, to which Chirumamilla called.
Big Blind: Q♥8♠
Raja Chirumamilla: Q♠Q♦
Chirumamilla's two pair were ahead, and remained that way when the J♠ turn arrived. The 2♠ on the river gave him deuces full of queens, eliminating his opponent.
Scott Blumstein opened to 6,000 from the hijack and was called by the player in the cutoff, Shuyih Ng in the small blind, and Masaya Hayami in the big blind.
Action checked to the cutoff on the 5♦10♥A♥ flop and he bet 9,000. Only Blumstein called.
Both players checked on the 9♠ turn and then Blumstein overbet for 51,000 when the 7♠ completed the board.
The cutoff called fairly quickly and Blumstein tabled A♦9♣ for two pair, which got a quick muck from his opponent.
Robert Mizrachi and Itay Mashid were involved in a big pot worth around 60,000 chips. On a completed board of 3♣2♦10♣7♥2♥, Mizrachi had bet out 27,000, whereafter Mashid raised to 100,000, effectively putting Mizrachi all-in.
Mizrazchi spent several minutes in the tank before eventually laying it down. Mashid would later tell Mizrachi that he had 10x10x for a full house, while Mizrachi replied that he played an overpair himself.
In a heads-up pot, the board showed 6♥9♦4♣6♦ when Jan-Peter Jachtmann checked in the big blind, followed by his opponent on the button.
The river brought two pair on the board with the 4♥ and Jactmann bet 20,000. It was enough to make his opponent fold and grab the pot.
Ping Liu opened to 6,000 from the cutoff and Patrik Antonius made the call from the small blind while Aziz Benchekroun defended from the big blind.
The flop came out A♦2♥10♥ and action checked around to see the 10♦ appear on the turn.
Antonius then led out for 10,000 and both players mucked their hands to award him the pot.
