Lapido Soars After Eliminating Waysei

Level 26 : Blinds 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante
Juan Maceiras Lapido
Juan Maceiras Lapido

Juan Maceiras Lapido and Koveh Waysei were heads-up in a pot with over 1,000,000 in the middle and the flop reading 875. Lapido led out with a bet of 500,000. Waysei shipped all in for a little over 4,000,000 and Lapido rose from his seat. As he roughly counted his opponent's stack, Lapido slid out some chips to make the call.

Koveh Waysei: J9
Juan Maceiras Lapido: 55

Lapido flopped a set of fives but Waysei had a big combo draw. The 7 paired the board on the turn to give Lapido a full house and Waysei was left drawing dead to the 6 on the river.

Some Updated Counts Before Break

Torres Jams the Turns

Level 26 : Blinds 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

Liran Betito opened to 160,000 from the cutoff before Sergio Torres three-bet to 600,000 from the small blind. Betito called.

Betito called for 500,000 on the on J96 flop which brought in the 8 turn. Torres checked and Betito bet 850,000. Torres then jammed for 4,270,000 which sent Betito into the tank.

It appeared Betito was hating life during the spot and he ended his misery by folding.

Lapido Fills Up to Take Big Pot Off Geilich

Level 26 : Blinds 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

Ludovic Geilich opened to 160,000 from middle position before Juan Maceiras Lapido three-bet to 575,000 from late position. Action folded back around to Geilich who made the call to send action heads-up to the flop.

Geilich checked to Lapido following the KK6 flop and he continued for 700,000. After some thought, Geilich called.

The 8 turn saw Geilich check for a second time. Lapido, unwilling to slow down, pushed a hefty 1,200,000 into the middle. As on the previous street, Geilich committed calling chips.

Both players checked once the 8 river completed the board with Geilich turning over 1010. It was no good, however, as Lapido held 66 for the flopped boat to take down a sizable pot.

Prydryk also bet the 6 turn for 475,000 to pick up a call by O'Neill, to then check the 10 on the river. O'Neill made it 1,800,000 to go and forced a fold.

Stein Makes His Move With Big River Bet

Level 26 : Blinds 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante
Sam Stein
Sam Stein

Heads-up on a flop of 439, Daniel Dzian bet 200,000 from the cutoff before Sam Stein, under the gun, raised to 650,000.

Dzian instantly flicked in a chip to signify a call as the 8 fell on the turn. Stein then led out for 925,000 and Dzian again threw in just a single chip to call before assembling the rest of the bet.

The river came the K and Stein built a tower of purple 100,000 chips, sliding it into the middle for a bet of 2,200,000. Dzian snap-called and Stein showed 94 for two pair.

Dzian mucked as Stein, who began the day with just 4,450,000, took in the pot to climb up to nearly 17,000,000.

Clement Richez: AQ

Sachs was dominated and stood up from his seat as the board ran out 8A827 to mark his elimination.

"We were getting it in on the flop, anyway," Sachs said as he left.
