Waysei Spikes The River To Double

Level 2 : Blinds 200/300, 300 ante

Hector Berry raised to 700 from middle position which saw Koveh Waysei three-bet to 2,600 from the hijack. Only Ryan Ronquillo called from the button.

Waysei continued for 3,500 on the flop of Q36 which Ronquillo called.

On the turn 9, Waysei checked over to Ronquillo who bet 6,500 and Waysei called.

The river 7 peeled off and Ronquillo bet 5,000 when Waysei checked to him. Waysei moved all in for 23,300 and Ronquillo called.

The river had brought home a flush for Waysei to crack Ronquillo's pocket kings and survive in the tournament.

Valli Wins With a Raise

When it folded to Michael Dwyer on the button he raised to 600 and was called by Joao Valli out of the big blind.

Valli checked to Dwyer on the 483 flop and he bet 1,000. After thinking for a while, Valli raised to 3,300. Dwyer didn't think for too long before tossing his cards into the muck and forfeiting the pot to Valli.

Leibgorin Makes his Opponent Fold

Heads-up on a flop of 3JA, a player in middle position bet 800 and he was called by Event #63 runner-up Michel Leibgorin in the hijack.

The 5 turn was revealed and after the middle-position player checked, Leibgorin looked at the board with his magnifying glass and bet 2,300. It didn't take long for his opponent to fold.

Rusnak Aggression Takes Pot

After action folded to John Mcneil in early position, he raised to 600. A player in middle position called, when Francis Rusnak three-bet to 2,100. After it folded back to Mcneil, he made the call and the player in middle position folded.

The flop came 6JK and Mcneil checked to Rusnak, who bet 3,000. Mcneil made the call to see a turn.

After the 3 on the turn, Mcneil checked to Rusnak who bet again, this time for 8,000. Mcneil gave it some thought before deciding to fold his hand and give the pot to Rusnak.

Under the gun opened the action with a raise to 800. Takehiko Nakajima called in early position before the big blind three-bet to 3,500. Under the gun and Nakajima called.

The dealer put out 1024 and the big blind continued for 4,500. Only Nakajima called.

The big blind checked the 9 turn over to Nakajima who wagered 7,000 but his opponent made the laydown.

Nagy Won't Slow Down

Early position made the call. Laszlo Nagy called from the small blind and the big blind checked.

The flop came 8102 and the small blind was quick to check. Nagy fired from the big blind for 800 and only the early position called.

While the turn peeled the A, Nagy continued for 1,300. The opponent made the call.

The river was the 3 and Nagu fired for 3,100. His opponent was quick to fold.

Picking up the action partway through the hand, James Dike in the small blind got his remaining 4,500 in the middle against Stuart Rutter in late position.

Dike was in rough shape and looked to be heading to the exits after the flop came J6J followed by the 3 turn. The 9 river was just what the doctor ordered for Dike, however, as he paired up his kicker to score a small double.
