Late registration remains open until approximately 5:10 p.m. ET. The WSOP is reminding players who wish to max late register the Main Event that they need to be registered and IN LINE at the Late Registration desk by the start of Level 8.

Piper Drills the Flop

Level 7 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Action picked up on a board showing 1086 in a hand with Steven Piper all in out of the big blind for his remaining 15,700 against an opponent on the button.

The player on the button was in the tank shuffling chips and looking at the board before asking the dealer for a count, which the dealer confirmed. The player on the button then called to put Piper at risk.

“I flopped a straight,” Piper said before tabling his hand.

Steven Piper: 97 All in
Opponent: K10

Piper was well ahead in the hand after the flop. And it remained that way after the dealer placed Q on the turn and 2 on the river to give Piper a double up.
