Adrian Mateos
Adrian Mateos

On one of the feature tables, Adrian Mateos sat with KK on the button and was against table chip lead Will Berry, who had AA in the hijack.

The pot stood at 1,360,000 and the 4Q2 flop was already dealt. It was reported that there was a four-bet by Berry pre-flop.

Berry bet 425,000 on the flop, and Mateos called, taking them to the 10 turn.

Berry bet out 1,300,000 and Mateos tanked before folding his pocket kings.

Assorted Counts After the Break

Level 22 : Blinds 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Nazar Buhaiov check-called a bet on the AQ7 flop and then checked the 6 turn to tank-fold when Hongru Zhang bet 355,000 in a battle of the blinds.

Malo Latinois got a bluff through with K8 for king-high and a missed diamond draw when he bet a seven-high river, as [Removed:499] sigh-folded to be left with a short stack for the new level.

Carlos Caldas busted Mo Nuwwarah right before the last break and filled in the details.

According to Caldas, Nuwwarah raised to 55,000 under the gun and received two callers before Caldas three-bet to 280,000 in the big blind. Nuwwarah then moved all in for 1,100,000 with two eights as action folded back to Caldas, who called with two queens.

Nuwwarah didn't find any miracles on the board and was sent to the rail while Caldas moved up past 6,000,000.

Adrian Mateos

Adrian Mateos opened to 60,000 from middle position and was called by Lingkun Lu from the small blind.

Mateos' namesake and compatriot Adrian Garcia three-bet to 325,000. Mateos reraised to 740,000, pushing out Lu. Garcia jammed for 2,925,000, and Mateos snap-called as the covering stack.

Adrian Mateos: AA

Garcia was crushed, with Mateos the huge favorite for the 5,940,000 pot.

The 1098 flop left Garcia with backdoor opportunities, with the 9 turn giving Garcia a flush draw. The 3 river gave Garcia the flush to crack Mateos' aces, with the latter sickened as most of his stack went over to his opponent.

Simon Gets There to Frustrate Little

Level 22 : Blinds 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Jonathan Little three-bet to 175,000 on the button and David Simon called in early position.

The flop came 4710 and Little bet 150,000. Simon again called and both players then checked the 10 turn.

Simon checked the J river and Little again checked back. "Ace-jack," Simon said as he showed AJ for two pair.

"Come on," Little replied as he threw his cards into the muck. "That's two times you've had ace-jack. If you don't win this tournament, it's going to be a miracle," Little added.

Level 22 : Blinds 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

The cards were already on their backs post flop and the stack of Yegor Moroz was counted to be for 755,000 when his KQ came out on top on the Q426A board. Jessie Bryant was his opponent who had flopped and missed a flush draw to take a significant cut to his stack.
