Lee Wins a Pot

Level 7 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Yuhsiang Wong opened to 2,000 in hijack and got the blinds Jonathan Wong and Jae Lee, in small and big, respectively, to call.

They saw the flop of 372 which they all checked. After a check from Wong on the 6 turn, Lee bet 4,000 which was enough for the other two players to fold.

Three Premium Hands...Can the Best One Win?

Level 7 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

There was a three-way all in on Table 440 where all of the chips got in the middle preflop and all three players turned over premium pocket pairs. Casey Carroll was the short stack with 17,400 and Alan Sanchez was at risk for 19,900, while Nicolas Tartaglia had both players covered.

Alan Sanchez: JJAll in
Nicolas Tartaglia: QQ

The flop came AJ4 to give Carroll a set of aces but he still had a sweat with Sanchez picking up a set of jacks. However, the A on the turn improved Carroll to quads and his two opponents were drawing dead to the 4 on the river.

Carroll earned himself a triple up while Sanchez took down the small side pot. No players were eliminated on this hand but Sanchez was seen leaving the tournament area just moments later.

Power Picks Rigby's Pocket

Level 7 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

In some blind on blind action, Chad Power made up from the small blind, and Nicholas Rigby raised to 3,000 from the big blind, Power called.

Both players checked the 7JQ flop and saw the 3 peel off on the turn. Power check-raised Rigby's 2,500 delayed continuation to 10,000, and Rigby called.

The river brought the 7, and Power flipped out a bet of 16,000. Rigby called and mucked his cards when Power tabled Q8.

Ronyecz Sends Qoku to the Rail

Level 7 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Players were already heads-up and on the 10QQ flop with a pot of around 15,000.

Erion Qoku had moved all in from the hijack for his remaining 19,600 and action was on Nicholas Ronyecz in the small blind to make the call. Ronyecz moved a chunk of his stack across into the pot and the players flipped their hands.

Erion Qoku: AJAll in
Nicholas Ronyecz: KK

Qoku was at risk and behind but was hoping for an ace to come in or the gutshot straight draw. Unfortunately, Ronyecz was holding two of the kings.

The 2 turn and 10 river didn't do anything to save Qoku and he was eliminated in the second level of the day.

Zappulla Gets There the Hard Way

Level 7 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
Paul Zappulla
Paul Zappulla

Paul Zappulla opened under the gun to 2,300, which garnered calls from two players in middle position. Action then folded to Jack Gerberich in the big blind, who moved all in for 27,500. Only Zappulla called, and the cards were turned onto their backs.

Jack Gerberich: JJ All in
Paul Zappulla: AK

The flop 254 gave Zappulla extra outs, adding a straight draw to his two overcards.

The turn 8 brought yet more outs for Zappulla, who now had a flush draw he could hit.

The dealer turned and burned the Q, and it was bad news for Gerberich, as his pocket jacks weren't able to hold on and he was eliminated from the tournament.

A Bunch of Chips on the Table

Level 7 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Table big stack Eric Bunch raised to 2,000 and received two callers as they headed to the 872 flop. No betting action led to the 6 turn on which Adrien Guyader bet 7,500. That was enough to win the pot for Guyader, who is one of several big stacks at this table.

Only one and a half rows of tables remain in Paris Yellow.

Difficult Fold for Taylor

Level 7 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Taylor went deep into the tank and eventually folded after the clock had been called, revealing AK for top two pair. Spencer grabbed the pot without showing his cards.
