2025 World Series of Poker
Johan Schumacher opened from early position to 2,300 and Mohsin Charania defended the big blind.
The Q♥2♠9♥ flop was check-called by Charania after Schumacher continuation bet for 3,500.
A 4♠ was turned, which saw Charania check, Schumacher bet 8,000 and Charania fold.
Haim Gabay raised to 2,500 in the hijack before John Carreon moved all in for 14,000 in the big blind. "You could afford it," Carreon told Gabay, who eventually called to put Carreon at risk.
John Carreon: A♥8♥
Haim Gabay: A♣Q♠
Gabay had Carreon dominated, but Carreon received some hope on the K♥2♣5♥ flop with the nut flush draw. The 4♦ turn was no help, while the river came the 6♦ and Carreon was sent to the rail.
By the time action had worked its way round to Richard Florestan in the small blind, three players had already limped in. Florestan punished the limpers by raising to 7,500. Alejandro Jauregui called from the big blind, but the rest of the table folded.
Both players checked the 7♠8♦2♣ flop, but Florestan picked the betting lead up again on the J♠ turn, putting out a bet of 10,000. Jauregui made the call.
The dealer flipped over the 2♠ river, and Florestan put out another 10,000 bet. Again, Jauregui called but was shown bad news. Florestan tabled A♠A♥, which was good enough to claim the pot, and Jauregui mucked his cards.
Chris Klodnicki started the action with a 2,200 bet and got two callers in Paul Taylor on the button and Charles Beggs IV in the big blind.
The flop came 8♣3♣4♠. After a check, Klodnicki bet 2,500 pushing Taylor out of the pot. Beggs raised to 6,500 after Klodnicki called.
The turn 5♣ had Beggs checking. Klodnicki fired 6,000 which was enough to make Beggs fold.
With the flop reading 2♥10♦A♥ Todd Birmingham bet out for 3,000 from under the gun and was called by Stephen Peppin in the cutoff.
The turn brought the 7♦ and Birmingham bet 4,000 this time, only for Peppin to raise to 10,000. Birmingham called and both players checked the Q♦ river. Birmingham tabled J♠J♣, which was good for the pot as Peppin mucked his cards.
Wayne Frisbee defended his big blind and went all the way to the A♣J♦J♠7♦6♦ river after which the betting action escalated against Davide Suriano. It was unfortunate for Frisbee that his 5♦2♦ had hit running diamonds for a flush, as Suriano was more than happy to get his 66,600 into the middle with A♦A♠ for flopped aces full.
Yang Zhang three-bet to 6,000 in the cutoff and Joao Pinto called in middle position.
The flop came 7♦8♠9♣ and Zhang continued for 9,200. Pinto then raised to 22,500 and Zhang called.
The turn was the 5♠ and Pinto moved all in for 42,000. Zhang tanked for nearly five minutes before folding, and Pinto took down the pot.
At the same table, Maxwell Sheridan has his stack of 78,500 completely encircled by an army of small frog figurines.
Donald Blum raised it up from early position and Lee Haikal stuck in a three-bet in the cutoff. The action was back on Blum who four-bet shoved all in and Haikal called off his stack of around 43,000.
Lee Haikal: Q♥Q♣
Donald Blum: K♠K♦
The flop came K♥6♠5♥ and Blum made a set of kings to leave Haikal drawing slim. The K♣ on the turn improved Blum to quads and Haikal was left drawing dead to the irrelevant river.
