2025 World Series of Poker
Andreas Christoforou raised to 12,000 from under the gun and Joshua Payne called in the hijack while Yiqian Song called in the big blind.
The flop rolled out K♥Q♠3♦ and everyone checked around to the turn 7♠ where Song bet 26,000 and Christoforou called. Payne raised to 85,000 and Song moved all in for 185,000 to see only Payne call.
Yiqian Song: K♦Q♣
Joshua Payne: 7♥7♦
Nothing changed on the river 8♥ and Payne's set of sevens was good for the pot while Song was eliminated from the tournament.
Francis Kelly made it 8,000 from early position before Valentyn Shabelnyk three-bet to 22,000 from middle position. Jonathan Wolter cold four-bet to 50,000 from the button, which only Shabelnyk called.
Shabelnyk checked the 5♣K♣4♣ flop and Wolter bet out for 12,000. Shabelnyk check-raised to 70,000, and after a few moments, Wolter called.
The J♣ appeared on the turn and Shabelnyk led out for 25,000. Wolter decided he wanted to play for more as he raised to 55,000. Shabelnyk made the call.
A board-pairing 4♦ came on the river and Shabelnyk jammed his 188,500 into the middle. Wolter, who had only slightly more than Shabelnyk, went deep into the tank. After a few minutes of thinking, Wolter apologized if it was a "nit roll" before making the call.
Shabelnyk showed a flopped flush with Q♣10♣, but was eliminated by Wolter who held A♣K♥ for the ace-high flush.
Yuchen Chen opened from an early position. Everyone folded to David Hudson in the hijack, who went all in with around 60,000. When the action was back to Chen, he made the call, leading to a showdown.
David Hudson: 10♠10♦
Yuchen Chen: A♣J♥
Chen immediately hit the ace on the A♠3♥K♥ flop, prompting Hudson to stand up as he had no hopes of hitting anything that could help him. He was right, as the 6♠ turn and the 8♥ river didn't improve his hand, and he was sent to the rail.
Action was picked up as Tony Miles in the small blind was all in against Gustavo De Lima in the big blind.
Tony Miles: A♣K♠
Gustavo De Lima: K♦K♣
The board ran out 8♦2♣2♠4♦2♥, and Miles was eliminated.
Vanessa Kade opened to 8,000 from early position and Will Kassouf three-bet to 26,000 from middle position. Michael Nelson four-bet to 57,500 from the hijack and Kade folded J♠9♠. Kassouf five-bet shoved, covering Nelson who had 127,000 behind and Nelson called, putting himself at risk.
Michael Nelson: A♦Q♦
Will Kassouf: A♠K♠
Nelson was dominated with a smaller ace and he failed to improve on the 9♣4♠9♥J♣6♦ runout, resulting in his elimination while Kassouf more than recouped the chips he had recently lost.
There were roughly 25,000 chips in the pot on a flop of 7♦A♠4♦, Michael Franklin who was on the button bet 9,000, Nick Eastwood in the big blind called.
Eastwood decided to lead when the 7♣ paired on the turn, Franklin snap-shoved for 57,000, Eastwood asked for a count and called after confirmation.
Michael Franklin: A♣K♥
Nick Eastwood: 8♣7♥
The 6♣ on the river eliminated Franklin from the tournament.
Bilguun Odgerel opened the action with a raise to 8,000 from middle position, and Fernando Rodriguez made the call right behind. Marc Fiorentino, sitting in the hijack, turned up the heat with a three-bet to 32,000. Hye Park wasn’t backing down and responded with a four-bet to 80,000 from the button.
The action folded back to Fiorentino, who wasted no time moving all in. Park went into the tank, but after some thought, he decided to lay it down.
Fiorentino’s aggression didn’t stop there. Just a few hands later, he finished the job by eliminating Rodriguez, who had started Day 3 fourth in chips, firmly establishing himself as one of the dominant players at the table.
Sean Kraper moved all in for 64,000 from under the gun and Donnie Peters called in early position. In the hijack, Michael Comisso moved all in for 124,000 and Peters called to put them both at risk.
Sean Kraper: 9♦9♣
Michael Comisso: K♥K♠
Donnie Peters: Q♥Q♠
Comisso looked set up to win the pot as the board ran out 3♣10♠4♣J♦, but the river Q♦ gave Peters the set of queens to send both of his opponents to the rail.
Max Neugebauer opened the hijack to 8,000 before Roberto Romanello jammed for 117,000 from the cutoff. Once it folded back to Neugebauer, he announced call and the cards hit their backs.
Roberto Romanello: A♦K♠
Max Neugebauer: J♥J♦
The A♥ in the window was a welcome sight for Romanello, until it was followed by J♠7♠ as Neugebauer made middle set. Romanello was drawing dead once the 6♦ turn hit the felt, and he wished his opponents farewell as the Q♠ river completed the board.
